WARNING: THE ONLY THING I KNOW ABOUT DC IS FROM FANFICS AND FRIENDS
(and we all know how absolutely accurate some fanfic are)
Thalia, Nico, and Percy go on a quest, they end up in Gotham, they get trapped there for years and everybody thinks they're dead (except Hades, but come on, if they are scared of Nico, then the prospect of going to the Underworld [which apparently few survive {I mean it can't be 'OH MY GODS WE'RE NEVER GOING TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE', yeah, Orpheus's wife, but she did it to herself, plus, she was already dead}], then going to see the Nico but like, 10 times more extreme must not sound too appealing, plus in the first book it was made preeeetttttyyyyy clear that most demigods don't really make it to adulthood, so the fact that Nico is 70-ish, Thalia is 30-ish, and Percy is 18-20-ish, they all three survived the 2nd Titan War, 2nd Giant War, and 4th Demigod Civil War, AND they're all children of the Big Three is absolutely shocking), then they somehow end up apprenticed to Joker (IDK, how is up to you, I came up with everything but the details) and become gang leaders, you must be thinking '*gasp* Percy is too loyal to be a gang leader' but I think that waiting several years for the people you saved twice only for them to never show up, then being under the tutelage of some scarred, insane, psycotic, probably sociopathic, lunatic can change a guy, and not exactly for the better.
