"How can you still be so in love after so many years? What's your secret?" The interviewer asks when they come back from the bathroom with messy hair and swollen lips.
Harry and Louis exchanges a look.
"We never take each other for granted." Harry answers."And we make out in bathrooms." Louis smirks and winks.
The interviewer laughs and hands them their coffee. They drink a couple of sips in silence for a while.
"How many do we have left?" Louis questions."I have no idea. Let's just continue until we have gone through them all." Harry says with a shoulder shrug.
"All of them?" Louis asks with a raised eyebrow.
Harry bursts out laughing.
"Yes, all of them. No more secrets.""Okay, if you say so. We're so gonna regret this." Louis laughs.
They put away their coffee mugs and make themselves comfortable in their chairs.
"Uhm, the next one I made was this, an old school handshake inked on my left bicep. The tattoo is the symbol of equality." Harry says and Louis nods his head as he agrees. "Underneath it, I have Silver Spoon written to remind myself how lucky I am.""And then we did these with a couple of weeks apart. My butterfly tattoo on my stomach and Louis's chest piece. They were actually the same drawing we just split them between us.
A butterfly stands for transformation.
Oh, wow, this is kind of a hard topic to talk about." Harry says and looks down.Louis immediately puts his arm around him and takes his hand.
"You don't have to talk about it if you don't feel comfortable even if you should. You're beautiful just like a butterfly." He says softly, with so much love present in his voice and face."I guess...I always liked to dress differently. While we were in a band I couldn't really decide how I would look like even if I tried. They had a certain image they wanted us to follow. I was always afraid to be judged anyway. As I got older and became a solo artist I got more confident. Oh, and Louis is such a big part of it. He has always been so supportive." Harry says and looks at Louis with love.
"Anyway, now I wear what I want to wear and I don't care if it's supposed to be clothes made for girls or boys. I mean, if I find it pretty I'll wear it. I paint my nails because I like them. I wear pearls because they're nice. I don't like these gender classifications. Clothes are supposed to be fun and make you feel good. I like bright colors and bows and lace. Sometimes I just want to wear a t-shirt and jeans or a button-up shirt and sometimes something else." Harry says with a shoulder shrug.
"I'm so proud of you baby and you're gorgeous no matter what you put on. Everything looks good on you." Louis assures him.
"Thanks, Lou." Harry beams.
"And my tattoo that goes with Harry's butterfly says 'It is what it is' and that kind of sums that up." Louis says with a smile. "And I guess it's my 'things I can't change' tattoo. You are who you are. Also, stuff happens in your life that you can't do anything about, like when I lost my mum and Fizzy. It is what it is."
Harry strokes Louis back comforting.
"Let's continue. This got depressing fast. My turn?" Louis says and tries to shake off his melancholia. Talking about his mum and sister always makes him sad. Harry nods his head."Uhm, yeah, I got this bird on my arm because I also wanted a swallow to symbolize love and always forever. It's for Harry obviously. Then I got this paper plane and once again, Harry had this necklace with a paper plane that he really loved and I decided to ink it to my skin as a memory. 78 here on my chest, it's my grandparent's house number."
"And then I got these three nails." Harry says.
"And I have the horseshoe with three missing nails." Louis smirks.
"I also got a cup of tea and a globe at the same time. No deeper meaning behind it really. I drink a lot of tea. Harry usually makes me one before bed. The globe represents all the amazing places we've been to with the band.""What did we get next?" Harry questions.
"I don't remember. Oh, didn't you tattoo that A and G on your shoulders?" Louis asked.
"Yeah, for my mum and my sister. That's right. Then you got The Rogue tattoo." Harry answers.
"Yeah, my first band back in school." Louis explains.
"I took a little break after that but you went a little crazy there Mr 'I would never get a tattoo, over my dead body.' Harry chuckles.
"What can I say? It's an addiction. Yeah, I got a bunch of small ones, like..." Louis looks around in his arms. "Oh, these five lines which obviously symbolize me and the boys in 1D, ehm, a bomb, a lit match, and a spiderweb."
Harry is smiling the whole time Louis is talking and follows his every hand gesture and face feature closely without knowing he's doing it. He's so used to doing that, has been since they first met.
"Then I got this rope here tied in the infinity symbol." Louis continues.
"The rope to my anchor because he's always keeping me grounded and the other way around. I keep him grounded as well." Harry grins and shows his tattoo.
"He does. It usually only takes one look or one smile. I think it's amazing when you've been together as long as we have and from a young age, we just know each other inside out. We are that annoying couple that finishes each other's sentences or doesn't even have to say it all for the other to get it. I saw this video online that was called mirroring. It's crazy! We're in such sync with each other that we often move at the same time in the same way. Wicked cool!" Louis grins.
Harry beams and rests his head on Louis's shoulder shortly. Louis looks down on him before he looks at the camera again and shows the tattoo again.
"As you can see the rope is disconnected. I wanted it like that to symbolize that even the strongest ropes can break under too much pressure. Bonds can be broken, if you let them and I'm making sure it never happens again."
