Gorey and Rose seem to always be arguing about one thing or another, this chapter we go more in depth on what that's like

Enin's POV

“I SWEAR TO GOD”
“DON’T BRING GOD INTO THIS, ANI.”

For the past hour or so Gorey and Rose had been arguing. Nothing new, actually. They tend to argue a lot - it’s how they show their love.. hopefully. Oh and Gorey just bit at Rose this never ends well oh god.

“Allison take Nova to her room.”
“On it.” Allison replied, scooping up the shorter into her long arms and whisking her away from the situation. Sometimes I just stop when this happens and think, ‘why me? What did i do to deserve this hell?’ but then I stop thinking about it because it's a long rabbit hole I don't feel like exploring.

“Rose, Gorey, stop. This is the seventh time today, at this rate I'm going to die from the pure amount of time I’ve had to stop you two from killing each other.” I groaned, rubbing my eye. Gorey looked over at me with that sinister smile that always adorned their features.

“Then suffer.” Gorey stated monotonously, staring blankly yet into my soul as they strangled - or attempted to strangle - Rose with one hand. I sighed and just collapsed onto the couch, giving up separating them before I started trying. After a few more minutes of bickering and Gorey literally trying to eat - yes EAT - Rose five times Nightmare appeared, coming back from visiting her child, Fox.
“Are you two really arguing again?” Nightmare questioned with a straight face, her multiple voices echoing amongst the invisible walls inside of The Nowhere. Nightmare was terrifying in the most comforting way.

After Nightmare stared at the two for a few moments, she walked away into the kitchen. Luckily Rose and Gorey got the memo and shut up. I draped my arm over my eyes and fell asleep, feeling tired just from watching them fight.
