Two friends, close of heart, their intimacy a never ending pool of happiness and content.

And that friendship was a bond so big, that even when the short one went on about the untrue 'Space', speaking of UFOlogy, the other wouldn't care because they could still speak with one another.

One of them, Max, was of power and high influence; his father once a constable.

The other, Sam, was a tenant on the grounds; the family they once had, gone like the wind on a humid day.

The house that the tenant lived in was substandard at best with paint peeling and frames bending.

Max's mansion was of formaldehyde, something that'd come in handy too soon.

A proposition came to Sam, something they could not resist even if it cost so, so much.

Sam donned clothing with properties of asbestos, steeling himself for what was to come.

A gorgeous red erupted, sparkling in the evening air and casting a fiery glow to everything around.

Decomposing wood, rotting flowers from the many vases and it was a terribly terrific sight.

'Ha, what an innocent caricature, holding something so far down as to even I was but a blind sheep following a wolf in sheep's clothing who promised safety.'

A meeting, and there they were accessorizing the frilly black shirt and skirt they chose with beads of shining black and red, commiserating such a... joyous time.

Rehearsing and rehearsing, presenting yourself in a good way, it'll confuse Max, it needs to.

It was an unappealing day of continuous monochromatic colors; that's all life is in the center of the diabolical plans by them.

A firm grasp onto their arm, and they were down. It was funny, really.

The room, still tight and compact, was constantly weighing down Max's head. In which their head was a spiraling pool of worry and paranoia.

The raindrops pattering outside were a nice sort of sound, a thing Max hadn't heard in a bit, but the worry gnawing at them was still ever so strong.

Sam was sitting there, their hands in their hair a sorrowful and yet somehow crazed look materializing on their face.

It seemed so authentic to Max. But he knew better than to ever fall into that trap again. Ever again. Yet maybe, just maybe this one time, they could be unified.
