3: Little outing

"I'd love to see it." You reply back, giving off the same energy. Oikawa is amused with your response.

"Sounds like a deal, (L/N)chan." He says with a playful smile. His eyes lingering on you before fully turning his head and walking away. As much as you despised his flirtatious nature, you couldn't help but feel red as he walked away. The way his voice sweetly said your name replayed in your mind.

"What is this??" You think to yourself as you feel your heart beat faster. You didn't want to admit it, but he really was charming. You try to get him out of your head, the last thing you wanted was to become one of his toys.

*End of the day*

You start packing up when suddenly Akari comes up to you.

"Look...I wanted to apologize for earlier. I don't mean to come up so strongly." She says sincerely. You give her a reassuring smile.

"It's alright. We're friends now, aren't we?" You ask her and she returns a smile back.

"Of course... which brings me to ask. Would you like to watch the boys volleyball practice with me?" She asks you. You blush knowing that Oikawa played volleyball.

"I'm pretty good friends with some of the guys on the team. I thought since you're new, it'd be nice to make friends." She says. You couldn't help but to feel grateful for her help.

"Sure, I'd love to." You reply back to her. She smiles at your response. You zip up your backpack and carry it on one shoulder. You two head to the gym, creating small talk as you guys make your way. As you get closer, you hear the sound of balls bouncing on the gym floor and constant yelling.

Akari enters first and you follow behind her.

"Hello everyone!" She says greeting the boys. They instantly look over at her, giving a look of joy.

"Manager Akari is here!!" A guy yells out. You get surprised finding out that she's actually a manager for the team. You scan the gym and your eyes connect with Oikawa's. He gives you a little grin and you distract yourself by putting down your backpack.

"I didn't know you were the manager," you say to her. Her eyes were focused on the court as she processed what you said.

"Oh. I guess I forgot to tell you that." She says looking over to you with a little chuckle after. You two end up looking back to the court. It was very intense for being just a practice.

"WATCH OUT!" You hear someone call out, and before you know it a ball slams right besides you. Luckily it barely misses you. You stare at the ball still in shock, until a hand grabs it. You shift your eyes over only to see Oikawa.

"Just couldn't resist staying away from me, could you?" He looks directly into your eyes, saying it in a low teasing tone. You blush in response. He grabs the ball and runs back to the court before you could say anything.

"Did Oikawa say something to you?" Akari asks curiously. You quickly think of something.

"He just told me to watch out." You lie, scratching your head. She doesn't think much of it and goes to take notes. You watch Oikawa carefully. Something about him was just so familiar.

"Those brown determining eyes." You mumble to yourself. He was quite an impressive player, you watched him completely slam the balls all over the court. He had so much power, it was almost scary.

Soon enough, practice was over. You watch as they gather around for a little meeting, even with Akari. Leaving you to watch from afar. Afterwards, Akari comes back over to you with the team.
