"I remember.... I- I remember!!!" You yell out in excitement. You look out only to realize Oikawa was already out of your sights. The night replays in your head, you had always thought that it was just some crazy faded out dream.
But it WAS real, you had hugged a complete stranger 2 years ago, and suddenly you meet again.
You were unsure of what to do, even though you remembered what would it do? What if he did this kind of thing all the time? Imagining him hugging random girls isn't much of surprise...right?"Ah...what's the point. It won't do anything." You say to yourself in a disappointing manner. As you start to walk home, you pass by the gym where Oikawa was practicing. You slowly walk by, peeping through the cracked opened door. You see him serving, he looked more fired up than usual. As you watched him play, you couldn't help wonder why he wanted you to remember so much. Was it because it would just satisfy him knowing that you knew who he was? Or maybe something more?
You brush it off and walk home.--------------------------------------------------------------
The following Monday came quickly. You weren't as nervous to see Oikawa like you were before. Maybe it was the thought that he didn't think much of you, just another girl for him. It made you more annoyed than nervous.
As you walk in the school, you see him with a couple of girls. You make sure to keep your distance from him and quickly try to race inside.
"Bread girl!" You hear his voice unexpectedly call out and without thinking, you turn your head to him. He looks straight at you with a smirk. You feel your heart stop as he's looking at you with his sweet brown eyes. The couple of girls look over at you with a glare.
"M- me?" You ask confused while pointing to yourself. He chuckles in amusement. You fix your reaction to a cool and collected expression.
"What?" You ask bluntly when suddenly he walks right up to you. He stands uncomfortably close to you and he tilts his head as he looks down at you. You feel your stomach get sudden butterflies as he stares down at you.
"Come with me." He says as he grabs your wrist. He gently holds onto your wrist and starts leading you to the side of the school. You don't resist, as you too felt like you wanted to talk with him.
"Wh-where are we going?" You ask confused, after a moment he stops walking. It was just the two of you. He lets go of your wrist and puts both his hands in his pockets.
"Finally, we're alone." He says, your eyes widen as you hear those words out of his mouth.
"woAH! DON'T THINK YOU CAN DO ANYTHING WITH ME OIKAWA!!!" You say taking a step back. He lifts his head up with a raised eyebrow.
"Huh?" he replies looking confused at you as you're tightly hold onto the straps of your backpack.
"I meant we can finally talk, just the two of us." He adds on. You feel yourself get red from embarrassment and loosen your grip.
"Oh sure...what's up?" You say with an awkward smile. He laughs at your reaction.
"What? You ARE a playboy." You add on annoyed.
"I WAS a playboy." He corrects you.
"Oh yeah sure. For someone who thought a fangirl was following him after a game in his first year, I'm su-" you begin saying.
"What?" He interrupts you, his face looking shocked. You couldn't help but to widen your eyes, knowing you exposed yourself.
"Y-you do remember..." he says and he gave you a look as if he was reunited with someone special. You could fee your heart beating fast as he gave you such a sweet look. You stay quiet for a moment.
"Yes...you hugged me." You reply back bluntly.
"But you gave me milk bread." He retorts and you cross your arms.
"So what? You looked like you needed some." You reply back.
"And that's why you deserved a hug." He responds. You choke on your words, not knowing what to say from that. He smiles knowing he got you stunned.
"I'm glad you finally remember." He adds on. You look up at him and see a genuine sweet smile. It felt different than the ones he usually put on for his fangirls. You couldn't help but reflect one back to him.
"Why did you want me to remember so much?" You ask him curiously, he takes a moment to respond.
"Because that hug was special," he says and you get surprised with his answer. "I mean it should've been for you. I don't usually hug my fangirls." He adds on, you instantly give him an irritated glare.
"I should've known you were gonna say something dumb like that. I wasn't even your fangirl!!!" You say back annoyed, he chuckles at your reaction. He studies your face, still smiling. He couldn't help but to feel glad that you had remembered.
What he said was true, that hug was special.
For you both(hehe).
