Tim had finished the device within the first half of the week, but kept saying he still had to work on it. It was to be expected though, because when someone else found out, they didn't say anything either. This continued for two more weeks till Amelia caught on. But even she didn't bring it up. None of them wanted her to leave.

In those almost three weeks, she had gotten closer to Jason. As time went on, Jason brought up the topic of how would they even work, them being from different worlds and all. But for once, Amelia didn't want to think about the facts. She just focused on her limited time with Jason and her second family.

Dick took her to every arcade he could find. Her and Jason went on motorcycle rides outside of Gotham once he was somewhat healed and had a few dates too. When Tim needed a 'break', he'd talk to Amelia about anything and everything, sometimes about her brothers computer skills. Damien would let her come into his room and spend time with Alfred the cat. Definitely not because he wanted her to himself for a couple hours. Then there was Bruce and Alfred. Their time together wasn't much different except that Bruce was around more and the shopping trips were longer. They were also the first to figure out what Tim was doing. And the people Amelia had learned about it from.

Once the third week hit, Amelia decided they had prolonged the inevitable long enough. She gathered them all together in the evening to say she'd be leaving the next day. Dick had made the suggestion of a 'sleepover' in the upper living room and everyone agreed, even Bruce. Jason and Damien gathered all the pillows they could find, Alfred made the snacks, Tim brought out the movies they could pick from, Bruce grabbed all the blankets, and Amelia and Dick made a huge fort.

Each of them picked one or two movies and the seven of them just laid or sat on the floor. They laughed til in tears, argued about the best character, sang badly to the musicals, and all in all had the best night. Forgetting that someone wouldn't be there for the next day.

In the morning they woke up to a collapsed fort and Alfred cleaned the food table. They picked up the pillows, folded blankets, cleaned up spilled popcorn, and put the movies away. Breakfast was quiet, as well as the walk to the door. She was leaving her stuff here since she already had clothes and the other objects she got there at her apartment. Plus she'd have stuff waiting for her when she returned. She kept the Red Hood symbol necklace Jay got her though.

"Don't forget to bring your sister sometime when you visit," Dick told Amelia as he hugged her.

"I won't." Amelia promised and went to Jason next. Giving her a hug, he placed a kiss on her cheek, surprising his brothers. They had been secretive about their relationship, though she could've sworn Tim and Dick already figured it out. Alfred just smiled an approving smile. Bruce, though, was shocked.

"Finally! You let someone in! I'm so proud of you Jaybird." Shouted Dick in rejoice, who gave Jason a tight hug.

"Hey! Get off me!" he said annoyed and embarrassed. Tim's goodbye went fast with a quick hug and a nod of affection. Then Damien.

"May our paths cross again." She said as she held out her hand. Damien nodded and they shook a farewell. Then she said goodbye to Alfred, which was brief.

Bruce said, "Who knew Jason would find a girl who would get him to show his soft side."

"Hey!" shouted Jason, a little offended at what his mentor said, making everyone laugh. Once they said their goodbyes, Amelia pressed her thumb on the scanner and a portal appeared. She said her last farewells with tears and disappeared through the oval of blue.

Amelia looked around. She saw her desk with the story she had been writing and the notes she had taken. Her bed had papers covering it and boxes from her visit to her parents' house. She looked at the clock; 5:43 pm. She was home and not a second had passed.

When the young adult finished the story, the 12-year-old said "That was a good story. You're so talented. When will I hear the next one?" The younger sister asked.

"Making stories takes time and effort and lots of ideas." replied the older sister.

"Ok, but will you have another one next time you visit?" The young girl asked again.

"Only time will tell," the adult said.

"Fine. But I can't wait till your next one Amy!" Melody said cheerfully.

"Me neither Melody, me neither," Amelia said, as she closed her Mac computer.

"Guys! Mom wants you to know dinner is done!" John shouted from upstairs.

"Alright coming!" Melody shouted back. "Come on! We have to get food before Eric eats it all." She jumped off the guest bed her big sister was using during her stay with her parents.

Little does the younger sis know, it wasn't just a story.
