Eight years old Melania sat on the couch in the dark living room with the only light shining through the blinds from the street lights.
Melania sat there preparing for when her grandparents get home with tears flowing down her soft plumped cheeks.
She had gotten into a bad fight at school that day.
She cried harder knowing her consequence was going to be worst than usual.
She wiped her tears hearing their car pull up in the driveway. She layed down pretending to be sleepy with her face towards the couch.

Knocks sounded on the door startling her.
She jumped up running towards her room. She peeked through the her curtains seeing 12 at the door.
She hurriedly changed into a outfit before the police barged in. She climbed into bed pretending to be sleepy again.
"We have a child she looks to be about 7." She heard him say in the walkie talkie.
She was picked up off her bed and into some strong firm arms.
She began to become panicked.
"Where are you taking me ?" She questioned.
"It's ok sweetheart I'm taking you down to the orphanage." He informed her
"Where's grandma and grandpa ?" She asked.
"They left." He said hearing those words broke lil Melania heart into pieces.
That night she cried her self to sleep in the arms of a officer.

"Do you have any family ?" Officer asked her.
She shook her head not wanting to talk.
Officer nodded his head before making way to the orphanage.

"Hi I'm officer pete I'm here to enroll this child into here." Officer pete told the receptionist.
"Ok what's her name ?" She asked.
"Melania Kali Hayley. She's eight btw."
She nodded adding her to the system.
"She can share the bunk with Jamarion room two." She pointed.
"Ok." He said before they madr their way to the room.
"Ok kid this where you would be staying for awhile." He explained to her. She nodded not wanting to talk.
"Go make yourself comfortable." He slightly pushed her into the room.
"Wassup I'm Jamarion but call me Juvi ." Jamarion told her
She nodded her head waving.
"I'm Melania but I like to be called Mama." She quitely said
"Ntmu. Why are you here?" He asked trying to make conversation.
She shrugged.
"You must don't like to talk huh ?" He questioned and she shook her head meaning she doesn't.
"Well I'm going to call you baby." He told her before turning back to his game.
" Ok." She lowly said going to lay down.
That night she slept through the yelling coming from Juvi.
