Marinette blinked. She blinked again. "Ok, what are you exactly?" The being stopped trying to eat her lamp and turned to look at his confused chosen. "Hi! My names Plagg. You got anything to eat up in this joint? I'm starving." He then zoomed around her room, attempting to eat several items before Marinette managed to speak again. "I have some Camembert in my fridge, if your ok with that."
Plagg paused midair halfway through her sentence. After a moment, Marinette got out of her seat and slowly walked over to the tiny god. "Hey, are you ok?" The destructive Kwami immediately zoomed to the front of her face, gaining a presence that she didn't think someone of his size could have. He stared at her, and asked one question. "Where." Marinette pointed over to the mini fridge and a small black blur disappeared inside it.
Slowly walking over too the fridge, she carefully opened it to reveal the cat Kwami laying on his back. The fridge was already half empty where it had been full before, the floating stomach having obviously been the one responsible.
Now, so far Marinette had been remarkably calm. But at the sight of her favorite food being gorged upon without her permission by someone who wasn't her? Well, that just won't do.
"Hey!" Plagg's cries rang out as Marinette tore him away from the mini fridge, but he quieted when he saw the rage resting In his chosen's eyes. "Listen, I may not know who, or even what you are, but if I find you eating my cheese without my permission, I swear you will be in a world of pain, got it?" Plagg nodded. "A human who knows their cheese. I can respect that." Marinette sighed, letting him go. "I'm sorry, let's start again. My name is Marinette. Who, and uh, what are you?" Plagg floated down to her desk, next to the box that contained a black and green ring.
"Alright then, from the top. My name is Plagg. I'm a Kwami, I grant people powers. Yours is the power of destruction. Can I have some more cheese now?" The Kwami looked around, very obviously bored.
Marinette rolled her eyes. "No. Now why are you here?" Plagg rolled his eyes in return. "You've been chosen to wield the black cat miraculous, which mean you're one of the people whose going to stop that stone guy before he destroys something important." As he said this, he turned toward the monitor, which was still showing footage of Ivan's transformation induced warpath. Marinette looked away from the screen, before turning to Plagg. "Alright then, what do I do." Smiling slightly, the bad luck Kwami replied. "Ok, let's fill you in on the basics."

Adrien looked at the tiny being in front of him, reaching up to poke it. "No way, are you a genie or something?" The creation Kwami grabbed his finger, pushing it away from her face with a surprising amount of strength. Giggling, she replied. "No silly. I'm a Kwami." Adrien shot a confused look at the bug like creature. "What's a Kwami? I haven't heard of them before."
"I would be worried if you had. You were chosen to be the wielder of the ladybug miraculous, which grants the power of creation. Your job is to use the miraculous to save people who have been akumatized, and those who might be hurt by them."
Adrien was shocked. "Like a superhero?" Tikki nodded. "Exactly!" Adrien frowned. "But I'm stuck here. What good is a super hero who's stuck in their own house?" Tikki, noticing her chosen's distress, flew over too his shoulder. "Don't worry Adrien. Once you transform, you should be able to get out of here without any issues."
"Well, if you say so. How do I transform?" Adrien was excited. He was sneaking out to be a superhero. "We'll get to that in a minute. There are some things you need to know first."

"So to summarize, my partner, the ladybug, is the only one that can cure the akuma, evil butterflies that are sent out by Hawkmoth. Hawkmoth sends these akumas out to manipulate people who are emotionally vulnerable by possessing an object that is related to them or their stress causer. Our shared job is to stop these akumas and Hawkmoth by fighting these people and breaking the possessed object. That lets the akuma out, allowing the first thing. Right?"
