"This is odd..." Cassidy studied the hoodie. "I'll keep this I guess." she turned to her black and white checkered backpack near the nightstand, and stuffed it inside. "Yes her results are fine, you can take her home today. " Shields was right outside her room with her father. Cassidy dove into her hospital bed, slowed and steadied her breath, then pretended she was asleep. The door creaked open, "Cassidy? Wake up sweetie." Cassidy opened her eyes and sat up. "Hi Dad." Bradley handed Cassidy her normal clothes, a white blouse, red high tops, and plain jeans. "Am I going home today?" She asked, "Yea sweetie get dressed I'll be at the elevator." He said has he closed the door. She didn't want to go home, if she did she'll have to see the empty kitchen her mother would make meals at, the rocking chair she would brushed her hair at for school, and the drive way that would no longer hold her car. Cassidy sighed and got dressed into her comfy outfit. She grabbed her backpack and crutches. Cassidy opened the door and headed down the hall, to the elevator. "Ready sweets?" Cassidy nodded, her father jabbed the open door button with his finger and assisted his daughter into the metal box. They rode down in silence, which she didn't like so she spoke up. "So which car are me taking yours or moms?" Oh- she forgot her mother was gone. "What did you say?" Her father asked, "Oh nothing." They there in silence till the door opened with it's mighty strength. "So.." Bradley clearer his throat, "The funeral is going to be Tuesday." Cassidy took a deep breath, it's Sunday, three more days till she sees her pale, broken, dead mom sitting in a coffin getting ready to be buried in dirt. Cassidy shivered the thought of seeing a dead body made her want to scream and run away, also dirt remembered her of worms and bugs. Worms rememided her of summer camp three years ago, when someone filled her sleeping bag with worms while she slept, she can still feel them wiggling around her toes and slivering up her legs. "So while I'm at work tomorrow Mac is going to take you to get some clothes for it." he smiled, he knew shopping was her favorite thing, but she only liked it with her mom. Other than that it was embarrassing shopping with her male family members. "Cool, thanks Dad." The medal doors opened and Bradley helped his injured daughter to there grey and black truck. "Can I sleep on the way home?" Cassidy asked as she climbed into the front seat, "Just promise you'll wake up again." Cassidy nodded and leaned her head on the light grey, scratchy, leather seat. Closed her eyes and dreamed.
Once again Cassidy was in her outfit that she wore in her last dream, but in a different scence. A mental hostpital. Rather than a cell she had a room with an ugly light blue carpet that you'll usually see at school, two wooden beds with one foam pillow each and a white blanket on top of them, a plastic window six feet off the ground, an oak desk, and a large door that leads into an open hall way. "Hello?" She called, no reply. She stepped down the hall way to see other patients and rooms, in the back corner was the two boys she say in her previous dream. She marched toward them, "You guys!" They stopped looking at their game of chest, which wasn't being played right. "Jordan did you think if her showing up?" Drakes ask, "No, she should be joining us soon so why should I?" He Jordan replied. Cassidy grunted, "Tell me how you're jacket got in my-"
"Hoodie."
"Excuse me?"
"I left my hoodie in your room not a jacket."
"So what's the difference?!"
"Hoodies don't has zippers!"
"Whateve-"
"Also hoodies have one big pocket in the middle of it and jackets have two small ones on the sides!"
"I get it just tel-"
"Oh and you but hoodies over you're head and not from you're arms!"
"Whatever it is how did it get in my room?!" Cassidy demanded has she gabbed her finger into Drake's chest. Jordan pushed his crocked glasses back into place with his index finger, "It kind of simple if you think about." he explained, "You see, we three are connected in brain waves. Meaning we can enter each other's dreams or reality but, if for to travel to one of our realities you'll have to either be relaxed, focused, or emotionally connected to them." Cassidy nodded, "That kind of makes sense but two things. Still how did the hoodie get into my room outside of the dreamscape and how do other people not see me when this is clearly reality." Drake moved his Knight over and took Jordan's Pound. "Because we have the connection that's why and I left it behind and didn't take it with us before you woke up, that's how."
Cassidy opened her orbs and gasped, her father was shaking her shoulder. "Hey we're home sprout." Bradley said as his right hand stuck out for Cassidy to take. Cassidy shock her head, "It's okay Daddy." Cassidy swung her legs out of the car, landed onto both of her feet. With no pain in the right one at all. "Woah, sweetie are you okay?!" Bradley questioned has he grabbed her things from the back-seat, "Yeah I'm okay I guess my leg just doesn't hurt anymore." He nodded and walked to the front door, about to unlock it Mac opened the door with a smile on his face. He ran toward Cassidy and scooped her up into a big hug and swung her around. "Guys I got in!" He cheered, has he set Cassidy down fearing he'll make her spew up her breakfast. "What do you mean you got in, did you get locked out of the house or something?" Cassidy asked has she gained we balance from the ride she took. "No Caz, the job I been wanting to get for ages finally opened up and they let me in!" Cassidy smiled, Mac always wanted to work at the zoo since he was seven. Her father said he was just in love with the idea of taking care of animals all day since he was ten, and he truly got the job after seven years of having that dream. "That's great son..." Bradley's voice was shaking and odd, like he was hiding something. "To celebrate can we order pizza?" Cassidy's eyes beamed, one of the things her and Mac had in common was liking strange pizza toppings. Goldfish, Beef jerky, Sea weed, and sometimes biscuit gravy. "HI guess, but no weird topping crap, just normal pepperoni." The two children nodded and ran inside.
