a hidden difference

The electric blond was currently sat in class, silently fidgeting as he tried his best to focus on what his teacher was saying. His leg bounced and his middle and index finger tapped on his thigh.

These were both common ways to stim that the blond used, and luckily most people didn't notice them. He had other stims, but those were sometimes disrupting and people shunned him for it. So he avoided those.

Suddenly the bell was ringing, startling Denki out of his dissociative state. It was lunchtime now, one of his least favorite times of the day. He stood up out of his seat, plastering a huge smile on his face as he made his way over to the Bakusquad.

"Hey everyone!" Kaminari greeted his friends, getting waves from (almost) everybody back. The group started on their way to the lunchroom, Mina and Sero currently enthralled in a conversation about some new video game that came out the day before.

Like usual, Sero, Mina, Kirishima, and Bakugo went off to grab school lunch while Denki searched for a table. He noticed a certain indigo haired male sitting at their usual table, the one that had recently taken Minetas place at 1A.

"Hey Shinsou!" The blond greeted enthusiastically. "Me and my friends usual sit here, are you okay if we sit here with you? You're totally free to stay." Denki asked with a smile. "Sure. I don't care." The insomniac muttered before resuming eating his lunch.

Denki pulled out his phone and texted the bakusquad the location of their table before sitting down in his usual seat. Which happened to be right next to Hitoshi. And Denki just so happened to have a huge crush on the other, Kaminaris heart starting to pound out of his chest as a slight rosy blush covered his cheeks.

Pretty soon the Bakusquad filled up the table, everyone sitting down and beginning to eat their food. Except Denki of course, he didn't have food. His friends used to ask him why he never ate lunch, and Denki always replied in the same way.

"Oh, I'm not hungry. I had a huge breakfast this morning."

That was a blatant lie, but no one ever really considered it being a lie. Why would Denki lie about something like that? He wouldn't, or at least that's what everyone thought. No one really seemed to notice how Denki started rapidly losing weight over the past few months, but the blond couldn't blame them. He had started wearing more layers because he was always cold, so it was difficult to see any difference.

But there definitely was one.
