Y/n sat at work again that night, very late. It was 8 pm when Ten-ten came over to her, preparing to go home to look into the case of her son emotionally with her husband. "Hey." She said. Y/n looks up, a nonchalant expression on her face. "Yes?" Ten-ten gives her a smile. "Are you okay?" Y/n nods. "Yes. Why do you ask?" Ten-ten shrugs. "Just making convo!" She says with a small chuckle.

Ten-ten then puts her bag over her shoulder and turns walking out. "I wished we could smile more often. Like when we were kids. Remember?" Ten-ten wasn't lying. Y/n did remember. They haven't smiled brightly, no, not since ninja academy.

​​​​​​"Oi! Naruto!" Sakura yells, punching his head. Naruto pouts looking away. He caught a glimpse of Hinata staring right at him. "H-hey Hinata!" Hinata blushes turning to run, but she ran right into Neji. Neji glances at her than Naruto and holds her hand, walking away. Sasuke chuckles. "See, unlikeable." Naruto pouts pointing at Sasuke. "Shut the hell up!"

Sakura giggles. "He's not lying yah know Naruto!" Sasuke chuckles once more. "Even Sakura agrees with me." Naruto closes his eyes placing his arms behind his head. "Yeah shut up four eye." Sasuke feels his cheeks heat up, stuffing his glasses back in his pocket. "Aw Sasuke! Don't listen to Sasuke, keep them on! It makes you look so much cuter than you already are!"

Y/n passes by, her hair falling in her face as she talks to Ten-ten. She had a bright smile, and her smile always caught the boys' eyes. Both Naruto and Sasuke had a major crush on the girl. She kept to herself mostly, but she was interesting, smart and funny. "Hello! Naruto! Sasuke! Did you two hear anything I said?!" Sakura yells in their ears.

"Huh? Oh yeah! Sorry Sakura, can you repeat that please?!" Sasuke sighs ignoring the two as he looks at y/n once more. 'Too bad she doesn't even know I exist.'

[Flashback Ends]

"Leaving late again?" Asks Sasuke, taking y/n out of her thoughts. Ten-ten had left already. "Yes." Y/n stands, grabbing her purse and heading to the elevator. Sasuke walks with her. "What's that look on your face hm?" Y/n shakes her head. "Have you heard from Hinata Hyūga lately? I heard she got back in town the day after Naruto."

Sasuke shakes his head a no as they step in the elevator. He pushes the button and gives her a small smile. "Actually. I don't talk to her. Maybe Sakura would know a thing or two." Y/n rolls her eyes. "Nah, Sakura and I don't talk." Sasuke smirks, "oh? Why not?" "It's nothin." Sasuke fakes a pout and gently turns her to face him, by holding her chin. "Aww come on tell me~" Y/n's heart raced and she backed up.

"I-I said if was nothing!" Sasuke realises his actions, then he covers his face. "I am so sorry! I wasn't thinking." "No! It's fine." Y/n tried leaving as fast as possible but Sasuke ended up holding her wrist. He turns her around slowly. "Y/n...if there is anything you need...if Naruto...ever hurts you again...you can always talk to me. You know that right?" Their eyes made eye contact. He gives her a small smile, letting her wrist go.

"I know Sasuke. Thanks." Before y/n left, she hugged him quickly. Sasuke barely had time to react and hug her back.

Entering her home y/n wasn't surprise to see Naruto in the kitchen supposedly making dinner. Naruto looks up with a bright smile on his face. "Hey wife!" Y/n's smile dropped. "Um. No. Good night Naruto." Naruto rubs behind his head. "Right. Night." She kept seeing him glance behind her in confusion.
