I hunt and I kill.
Ever since I was born I knew that was my purpose in life; my destiny. They shoved it in my head every chance they got so I wouldn't forget or think otherwise. This only made me train harder, making me want to be stronger...no, need to be stronger just so I was able to prove myself worthy. Which I did.
I was the best of the best, praised by anyone and everyone for my swift and graceful kills which I was easily able to make look easy. But meeting her changed everything.
I'd like to think my life started the day I met her. She was different... stunningly different. She was the one that made me open my eyes. The one to make me realize that my whole life... was built on a lie.
My encounter with her was what made me want to change to be a better person...to actually help her instead of trying to kill her. Just thinking about killing her or watching her die in my hands brought me to my knees with dread and self loathing.
But how could I possibly change? When throughout my whole life I was taught to be one thing and one thing only?
I am a Hunter. This is who I am.
