*Who Are You, Really? - Mikky Ekko*

Gravity Falls didn't appear to be a strange town.

From surface level, It's only claim to weirdness was its citizens, who mostly just confused tourists.

The valley seemed to call to oddities. Strange folks with quirks and flaws that didn't fit the laws of any town outside of the county lines.

They flocked like birds to the itty bitty town and it's quaint streets.

So it didn't surprise anyone when they heard of a young woman walking straight off a tour bus, carrying only a backpack, and into the woods.

No one saw her- only the bus driver. He came into town once and asked about her a week after he had dropped the woman off. She was nowhere to be found and rumors spread fast.

She became somewhat of a town mystery. Within a week of the story circulating, people began to claim they saw her.

One said she had been standing over their garden, reaching into their basil plants. They yelled at her, only to have the mysterious women disappear into the night without a word.

It remained the same in every encounter. The woman would appear in a garden before disappearing once seen.

The entire town seemed to agree that whoever it was was a danger.

Gravity Falls prepared for war.

"Come and get your monster hunting gear!! Designed and tested by yours truly!! Guaranteed not to break!! It will not break!!" Stan hollered to passing gift shop customers.

A child gave a net on display a wide eyed look and picked it up to convince whatever sad parent that lost to buy it.

Oh, yes. This had to be his best idea yet. With this so-called 'shadow girl' on the loose, everybody was begging for stuff to catch her with.

Stan, on the other hand, hoped she'd never be found. It was drumming up too much business for his roadside attraction, the Mystery Shack.

And if the mysterious women did show up, then he'd give her a job scaring the pants off poor unsuspecting wallets-no wait. Customers. Yes....

The sun began to set eventually. Stan shooed straggling customers out of the shop and sent his employees on their way with a "Get out before I lock you both in."

When all was said and done, it had been a good business day. Stan had made a pretty penny and tomorrow promised a pretty hundred bill.

The old man fell asleep without a second thought.

The witching hour was in full swing when Stan was awoken by footsteps and a clattering noise from outside.

He bolted upwards, somehow staying quiet enough to hear a southern accent accent say, "oh fudge cakes", before it faded.

Stan's first instinct was to dig for one of his many guns in his closet. Which he did because you always follow your gut in a situation like this.

She cocked the pistol as he exited the Mystery Shack, pointing it at the forest. "Who's there!? I won't hesitate to shoot! I've served my time in prison and I'm not scared of it!!"
