The campers and hunters all sat in the amphitheater in a circle around the campfire. The flames were extremely warming in the cold winter night after the amazing event of the game and the bright flames with tinted with a black in the presence of the Perseus as the god sat among the hunters with Zoe sitting on the amphitheater floor in front of him leaning back against his legs as her played with her hair; Phoebe, Diana and Victoria on both sides of him. Bianca and Nico sat close by on Thalia's right. Annabeth sat on her other side with Malcolm and the rest of their other siblings."Okay," Chiron said from his place inside the circle once everyone was settled down with mug of hot chocolate, courtesy of Perseus. "We shall explain what all that was about, but that can wait for tomorrow. For now, we shall tell the full tale of Perseus and explain how the myths that were altered really go. That way we can clear up all the confusion. Perseus, if you would please," the centaur concluded as everyone perked up, not wanting to miss what was going on.
Percy looked up from Zoe's hair when everyone looked at him; the night now silent except for the crackling of the hearth.
"So," He said with a bitter smirk, a dark look spreading over his handsome feature. "You want to hear the tale of the 'Banished Olympian?'."
Without shifting her gaze from the fire Zoe reached up and took his hand in her giving it a gently squeeze. He squeezed it back before beginning the story in a softer tone. "I am Perseus Ádrastos God of Heroes, Loyalty, and Night; Son of Nyx, who took me in after my mother faded. Unlike my siblings Phoebus Apollo and Phoebe Artemis I prefer to use you first name. I am the youngest child born Zeus by Leto. It was after I was born my mother was born that my mother was banished, not after my siblings birth as the world was made to believe. I was raised by my Aunt Hestia."
"The goddess who gave her throne up for Dionysus, right?" Malcolm said.
"No," Zoe answered shaking her head, before taking over the story. "That is the story Zeus told. We'll get to that part in a second. Lady Artemis helped raise Percy as he grow up and they became best friends, that is why even as a man he is part of the hunt." A scowl appeared on Zoe that warned the campers not comment on what she was about to say. "Now, I'm sure you have all heard of the 'Mighty Hercules', however in truth there is nothing mighty about the man... "
As Zoe talked Perseus stared into the hearth, content with listening to the love of his life explain things. As she continued the story he zoned out and faded in to the bitter memories.
"You are a threat to this council!" Zeus roared at Perseus, his master bolt in one hand, the other gripping the armrest of his throne in such a rage that it nearly cracked.
"Nice one father. Yes indeed," Perseus scoffed, "I, Perseus, God of Loyalty, am a threat to the council."
The meeting had already begun when Perseus flashed into his throne, still smiling, impatient to get back to Zoe. Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Ares, all seemed annoyed about being summoned away from their various tasks. Hephaestus was tinkering with one of his projects not paying any attention to what was going on, while Aphrodite was distracted reading, no, looking at pictures of a scroll on the latest wedding themes and styles. Every now and again the goddess of love would glance over at Perseus with a smile before shaking her head and reading further down in the men's attire section of her scroll. Hestia and Hera meanwhile watched everything in silence. The twins were unusually quiet, not meeting anyone's eyes as they listened to what had to be the most heated fight between their little brother and father.
Zeus opened his mouth to shout back at Perseus, but Athena interjected. "Father, you know that is not true, nor does it have any relevance in the matter at hand."
