Chapter: 4 Maul arrives

Later that night Peter and MJ met with Ned and Betty at a restaurant called Micks 

They were on a double date celebrating their first day in college Betty held up her drink to make a toast

Betty: To collage. 

Peter: To collage.

MJ and Ned (Both): To college! 

They cling their glasses and sipped and Peter however couldn't shake the memory of MJ's plan to get into the Daily Bugle even learning Betty was helping her with it 

Peter: Hey Betty. MJ tells me you you're helping her to get into the Daily Bugle. What's up with that? 

Betty: When I told her I was interning there she got eager for it. 

Ned: What I don't understand is why you two even want to work with with that square head?

MJ: Like I told Peter before I wanna try and get Spider-Man's side of the story out there. It's just with the whole city turning against him by Jameson's influence. 

Ned: You still think they will? I mean Pe---um Spider-Man wrapped up that Rhino guy at Brooklyn earlier today? What's that tell ya? 

Betty: Nothing can make Jameson see the truth even if it smacked his mustache off. 

Everyone laughed

Peter: Well enough about square head. Is anybody gonna go forward interning for Dr. Octavius's Industries. 

Ned: Octavius? Didn't you write a report about him back in high school? 

Peter: That was Dr. Connors. But no. Since after the college tour before the summer I been reading reports on how Dr. Octavius is on the cosmos on changing the world. Maybe it's something I can be apart of.

MJ: That be great Pete. But....weren't you and Harry gonna start that own company of yours after he gets back from Europe? 

Peter: Yeah that's another plan but given he still hasn't called or even emailed. 

Ned: Well it's not like he hasn't gone dark. 

Peter: Guess not. 

Betty: Hey guys. Let's take this one quick second. 

Betty held up her phone with her camera app on and all sat close to one another and took a selfie together
