You were in class, sitting down, dozing off. As soon as you were about to enter lala-land, Mrs. Katake clapped her hands, making you jump almost falling out your chair in the process. After regaining your composure, you decided to actually pay attention to Mrs. Katake.
"... His name is Keisuke Chikara, please go easy on the boy."
Who the hell is 'Keisuke Chikara'?
Your eyes found their way to meet some dull, forest green orbs. You immediately looked away and looked at the somehow interesting floor.
Keisuke did a small bow and took an empty seat, which was behind you. You needed more friends but you never bothered to, you guess it was because you were somewhat shy, but it was also because you never really needed to.
You fixed your attention to Mrs. Katake.
Suddenly you felt a tap on your shoulder making you flinch. You turned around shakily to meet those dull, forest green eyes once more. He gave you a closed-eye smile. "Hi, Im Keisuke Chikara, nice to meet you!" he said in an excited, yet hushed tone. you gave him a nervous smile.
"I-I'm (Surname) (Name), n-nice to meet you too..." You mentally cursed at yourself for stuttering. Keisuke was about to say something but Mrs. Katake spoke before he could say anything.
"Well, Miss (Surname), since you wanna be so social today, why not show Mr. Keisuke around, yeah?"
Your cheeks turned rosy out of embarrassment and you immediately turned around and decided to (finally) pay attention to class.
~~~~~
"(Name)-Chan!~" The all-too-familiar, cheery voice called out. You let out a sigh as he slung his arm around your shoulders. Oikawa looked at Keisuke and frowned, but covered it up with his normal cheery look.
"Who's this, (Name)-chan?" Oikawa asked. His voice wasn't whiney or annoying, like it would be, but his facial expression stayed the same. This didn't go unnoticed by you. You figured it was an act.
"Oh, this is Keisuke-san, he's a transfer." You replied, unfazed by Oikawa's passive aggressiveness. Oikawa nodded slightly.
"Who are you?" Keisuke asked in a curious tone. Keisuke moved his amber locks out of his face and his forest green eyes were still dull.
"I'm Oikawa Tōru, (Name)-chan's boyfriend, nice to meet you." Oikawa said. Oikawa held out his hand, which Keisuke lazily took. "Well, I gotta show Keisuke-san around the school. Wanna come, Oikawa?" You ask. Oikawa's passive aggressiveness suddenly dissipated.
"No, it's fine. Bye~" And with that Oikawa left. You let out a sigh and lazily turned around so your (eye color) orbs can meet Keisuke's forest green ones. "Lets go, shall we?" you said. Without waiting for a response you turned around and began walking. Keisuke huffed and trailed behind you.
---
"No, it's fine. Bye~" Oikawa turned around and walked to meet up with Iwaizumi for lunch. He didn't really like the fact that you were around that boy, but he couldn't really do anything, could he? Ever since that day, which was 2 weeks ago, he couldn't see you as the little loner he saw you as before. He didn't like this feeling, at all. It affects the way he interacts with you. He was more touchy and he much more clingy. Whenever you laugh at him when he gets scolded by Iwaizumi, his heart flutters. Your laugh was like music to his ears, and he hated it. Your smile was the most beautiful thing he's seen, yet he hated that. He'd find himself staring at you, and his eyes would trail down to your soft lips. He didn't like feeling this way.
And he knew exactly what this feeling was. He didn't get into a fake relationship with you so he could fall in love with you, he didn't want this to happen, all he wanted was to lessen his fangirl numbers. Did he choose it to be you? No, he didn't, he didn't choose. In fact, if he had a choice, it'd be anyone but you. He couldn't simply tell you he loved you. He knew you didn't care for love, which was exactly why he couldn't tell you. He was also afraid of rejection. No matter how perfect or happy he may seem, Oikawa is insecure. He had so many flaws that he covered up with his Grand King act. He was afraid that after he told you, you'd never speak to him again. He was afraid of being made fun of... specifically by you. And even if you did say yes, which he doubt you would, the relationship wouldn't last long. Oikawa knew you'd find someone better or get tired of his countless flaws.
One thing Oikawa knew for sure, he had to keep his feelings from you.
~~~~~
"I'm telling you, Iwa-chan! I just don't like him, there's something off about him!" Oikawa protested.
"You're just being stupid, Trashykawa." Iwaizumi said, in an annoyed tone. Oikawa pouted. "Why do you even care who she hangs out with? It's not like your relationship is real." Oikawa felt a pang in his chest at Iwaizumi's words. Of course, Oikawa knew that, he knew very well, but that didn't mean he wanted to be reminded of it.
"I know that, Iwa-chan, you don't need to remind me." Oikawa pouted.
"Well, you keep forgetting, dumbass" Iwaizumi rolled his eyes. "Or could it be, that you fell for her?" Iwaizumi asked. Oikawa's eyes widened. His heart skipped a few beats and he felt the blood rush to his cheeks.
"Your such an idiot, Oikawa." Iwaizumi huffed. "Honestly, its probably another one of your stupid attractions." Iwaizumi added.
"I honestly don't know, Iwa-chan..."
Iwaizumi let a sigh escape his lips and he (aggressively) pat Oikawa's back. "You'll find out soon, Trashykawa"
Oikawa pouted, "Enough with the mean nicknames, Iwa-chan! If you're gonna comfort me, at least do it nicely!"
"Can't do that."
"What? Why?!"
"Dumbass"
"Iwa-chaannn!"
