Gripping Fear

Serena's POV

I could feel him. He was gripping my shoulders intensely, like he could read my thoughts. I was truly afraid, in some aspect it was funny because we are vampires but still these fake zombies looked so real!!

We were on a date to an amusement park well known to our area and we had decided on the Zombie Apocalypse walk. The attraction worked like this, there was a "conga" line, and I had to be at the front according to Ash, everyone held onto each others shoulders, and Ash happened to be behind me, so I saw all the scary stuff first.

Anyways I think we can sense what each other is feeling, I hope he isn't scared, I put my mind towards thinking about his feelings, and sure enough he was the tinniest bit scared.

I moved my hands up to his, we gripped each others tightly, until the end, we let go, it was funny I was still shaken up and Ash was laughing at me "You're still scared!" He gave me a small point and started to laugh "Well Mr.I-Was'nt-scared-at-all, I could sense you're feelings." He stopped laughing and smiled a cheeky smile "Well someone doesn't need a teacher, or to learn the ropes" He then rolled his eyes, he playfully said "Your a show off, and I'm proud of you for learning so quickly, I don't know how you do it!"

I gave him a warm smile "Woman's touch" we laughed together hand in hand walking to the fun house side of the park, it was strange I could smell blood near by, I felt something awaken in my stomach. Is this what Ash had been talking about........hunger?

I ran towards the smell without thinking , I could hear distant shouts from Ash, I was running too fast to register anything in my line of sight. The blood was so strong, the smell took over my body
Drowning me in pain.

Leaning on the wall I was screaming, people where looking at me, it was strange sort of like stop start animation, I had to be taken far away from the smell. It was too hard to think.

Someone was pulling on my hands, or was it two people, I don't know, my name was being called, and I couldn't focus and down I went......

Ash's POV

"SERENA!!?" I was chasing after her, an the scent of fresh blood was in the air, since she is new to being a vampire, this was one of the worst things that could happen. She was running too fast in public, and I didn't want to make a scene, so I quietly walked through the crowds knowing that it was way to dangerous to stop her.

When I caught up she was leaning against a wall, screaming, so I ran and took her hand, the very strange thing was that someone was holding her other one. It just happened to be a paramedic. Great just what we both need. I rolled my eyes, thinking about what I could do.

The paramedic was trying to calm her down, I pushed him aside he yelled at me "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!??" "THIS LADY IS DISTRESSED, SCRAM!!!" I ignored him and made sure Serena was leaning on the wall in an upright position, the paramedic was swearing at me, but I knew just what Serena would need, but it would have to be postponed because of this dude. If he saw what I was going to do, he would call the cops and I would have to kill him. Which is not what I want to do.

I kissed her, hoping that it would bring her back to normal without any medical assessment. Her eye color changed back to blue and she was placid again, but this paramedic was forcing a medical assessment on her even though she refused, we got up and ran, the paramedic calling after us. Life is strange but I'm glad no one lost theres today.....
