Dear Tendou,
Hello. How are you? Did you know that I love you?
(Y/n) folded the letter and put it in their pocket. This was the 6th letter they'd written so far. Was confessing to the obvious love of their life even a good idea anymore?
(y/n) has loved him for a while now. Who? Oh. The guess monster himself of course. Tendou. Tendou Satori. For how long had (y/n) known that they loved him? Five years? They had been graduating this year and they probably wouldn't see him this year so they probably wouldn't have much time left to confess. Graduation was less than a week away.
And there they were, in the gym watching Tendou play volleyball with the rest of the team. Even though they had failed to win at Nationals his last year, even though he had said goodbye to his paradise, he still managed to find time to play. He had to, he couldn't after high school. Even if he wanted to.
Once their game was over, Tendou went over to (y/n).
"(Y/n)! Did you see that?!"
"Yes, you did great."
They smiled at each other for a second, before he picked something up from the ground below them.
"Hey (y/n), you dropped this paper."
Tendou said, unfolding it and starting to read it."Wait no don't!"
(Y/n) wanted to stop him from reading it. They wanted to take the letter from his hands, but they couldn't. Even if he rejected them, wouldn't it be better to at least tell him how they felt? Wouldn't that at least make (y/n) a little happier?Tendou looked up from the letter and to (y/n). They stared at each other for what felt like minutes, even though in reality it was at most a minute.
"I'm sorry, I guessed you didn't like me, it's obvious that you don't."
That was all that (y/n) was able to say before hesitating to get up, and start walking away, holding back tears. Then they felt something, a hand. (Y/n) looked back to see Tendou looking at (y/n) intensely, before quickly giving them a short, quick peck on the lips.
"I love you too, (y/n). Bet you didn't guess that."
