The crisp air blew gently against my face, piercing my skin with its icy tendrils. Amongst its cold touch was the heavy scent of blood and death. Upon the horizon was a ruined mansion, and mixed with its rubble were the bodies of its previous charges. In the far distance the sun was rising, lighting up the skies in its pale blues and purples.
A man rose to his feet, a wicked smile crossed his twisted face as he chuckled to himself. "My my, you are quite the fine beast indeed" his voice low, dark and full of malice. He stood up in an eccentric manner with his arms stretched out. "Do it then! SHOW ME THE MONSTER YOU'RE TRULY MEANT TO BE!"
I smiled at him, my body heavy with the weight of my inescapable fate. My two sets of k-9's showing visibly in the new horizon to the man. My eyes shifting into their new natural state, a deep blood thirsty red as they settled upon my new meal.
"NO!! SHADOW DONT!!" screamed a woman behind me. Her voice broke with tears as she pleaded for me to return to her. Begging for me to let it go. But I couldn't. My hunger knew no bounds. I had starved for so long, I could no longer wait. How could I say no when my prey was begging me to devour him so much?
I took a crouching stance as I felt my body shift for the last time. My mind slipping into darkness where he would do the rest for me. For it was him that caused so much pain and suffering. So much carnage and destruction. It only made sense that I would give him the last hurrah. Afterall, I had grown tired of the antics of this world. Of its rules, laws, and most importantly, I had grown tired of the stupidity of the human race. It was time for me to let go.
As I felt my body finish its shift, my smile faltered. The women screamed one last time before I faded into nothing. As I gave in, I let a pair of tears run down my face. I gritted my teeth in one last moment of weakness.

A small flashlight shines in my eyes. I restrain myself from blinking as they are forcibly opened wider.
"Any sort of pain as of late?" asks a middle aged man. He was fairly tall, somewhere in the low six foot range and had dark brown shaggy hair that looked almost black. His eyes were a bright blue behind his rectangle glasses.
"Not really, I don't feel anything anymore.." my gaze was spacy and emotionless.
"Even emotional??" his eyebrow raised in a concerned glance. I simply nodded as I looked past him at the white curtain that played the part of walls. We are currently on the first floor in the left wing of the estate. Both the left and right wings of this mansion were the length of two football fields and one field wide, with the center section of the mansion being two football fields long and four wide. The left and right wings belong to my kind along with the top floor of the center of the mansion. The rest belonged to the master of the estate. This particular floor was solely dedicated to the 'Supporter' department. As were floors 1 and 3 of both of our wings. We were currently on floor 5.
"Concerning" he mumbled as he stood up straight. "Hmmm well i'm sure that'll change one day, maybe you just need a mate" he gave me a devilish smile as he pulled a small hammer like tool from a drawer in the single cabinet in this little "room".
"Mason, you know my thoughts on finding an actual mate..." my voice was cold. As I looked away.
"Oh dear nephew of mine, you know very well what I think of your views on mating. Even if our species' mating rates are low, I sincerely doubt you'll go your whole life without SOMEONE permanently by your side."
