Chapter 4. The Mainland

Angels POV
I get up and stretch while glancing at the time, its been a few weeks since Smokey was born and Ghost becoming mine. I told my parents about her and they agreed to pay for their board at Bright Fields too.

I grab my phone and shoot Pin a text asking if he wants to come to the Mainland with me for the day. Putting my phone down i get up and have a shower and get dressed in my Black Jodhpurs, white polo shirt and my white rising boots my parents brought back from their business trip. I hear my phone bing and i pick it up to check the message and to reply then i do my hair in double braids but leaving from the nape of my neck free then put on subtle makeup and i pack a backpack for the weekend, not forgetting to put my purse in it too.

I take my bag out to my car, a black Ford Ranger and then i go get some breakfast and then go pick Pin up from his.

We goto the docks and i drive the car up onto the ferry then we both hop out of my car and go above deck since we arent allowed below deck for safety reasons.
The ferry pulls away and i feel myself swaying, i look put the window seeing the ocean thrashing around us and the sky dark and grey. After 45 minutes we dock in London and retrieve my car as we drive to the nearest tack shop. After looking around for a while i set upon a white jumping saddle with a matching bridle and reins for Joker and black versions for Ghost, a black grooming kit and a rose gold grooming box for Ghost as well as the needed oils for the horses hooves and tack, not forgetting a pink foal rug and blue headcollar for Smokey. I go up to pay and we carry it all back to my car and load it up into the boot.

"What do you want to do now Pin?"

He shrugs and we hop into the car as it starts raining heavily.

"We could goto a feed store and get some treats for the horses if you want".

He smiles and nods and i drive towards the closest Feed store and i pick up mountains of treats for my horses then let Pin pick out whatever he wanted for Elvis. We pay and load it all into my car and head towards a drive thru fast food restaurant. It happening to be mcdonalds. I order a 20 piece mcnugget meal and Pin ordering the same and we both have large colas too.

After 20 minutes i groan completely stuffed from all the food, we throw our rubbish in a bin and make our way back to the docks to head home, we board the ferry and within the hour we are back on the island.

I drive my car to the stables but see a looming red cloud above it. I widen my eyes and gasp knowing already there must be a fire. I call all the stable mates and notice all the horses are in the field when they werent before. I see Raven gallop out from between the building and i count the horses us having 4 missing.

"Smokey!!! Ghost!!" I should loudly using my jacket so i can run to their stall and help them. I get to their stall coughing loudly and i cover Ghosts eyes so she cant see the fire and i lead her out with Smokey brisk fully trotting behind her i let them into the field. I run bacl towards the buildings to get Firefly and Bob but i hear a cantering coming towards me and i move aside as Firefly and Bob gallop past me into the field. I sigh im relief and goto the field to check my horses.

I hear a groaning behind me and see Bob struggling to lay down his sides heaving as he breathes heavier. I sit beside him and put him gently.

"Someone call a vet! Quick!!"

After a while a vet showing up and shooing us away.

"Pin... i have to take my 3 to my home, i have a stables built there and theres room for the other horses too they can come too!"
Everyone hears me and agrees and we start leading the horses to my stables, getting there i out Joker in his stall and Smokey in with Ghost. I unload my car into the small feed and tack room, seeing all the spare saddles in there varying in sizes.
I then feed my 3 horses and get ready to goto bed. I yawn and stretch.

"Hey Pin do you want to stay the night?"
He nods and follows me into my house. And we end up getting busy in bed together and the. Falling asleep cuddling.
