"Man y'all know I run this shop" Duke said coming from the back.

"Little boy don't get fired now" Pop said looking up from the newspaper he was reading.

Everybody in the shop laughed and continued working. It had been a good minute since I started here and everything was going good.

As I was cleaning off my station Ghost walked in.

"Wassup my boy" Duke said dapping him up.

"Wassup, what's going on I had my shit scheduled this time around" Ghost said looking at the boy Duke was working on.

"Give me like 15 minutes until, I'm done with him" Duke told him.

"Nigga Ian have all day I needa get my shit cut now" Ghost said, raising his voice.

"You best calm the fuck down up in 'hea" Pop said looking up from his paper.

"My fault old head".

Duke looked over at me and did a devilish smile. I shook my head no but he ignored it.

"Nova can cut you up" Duke said looking at me.

Ghost busted out laughing .

"Come on bra be for real " he said, calming down from his laughter.

"What's funny" I asked scrunching up my face.

"The fact yo ass work here" he said walking up to me.

"Ion know who you think you talking to but, yeen talking to me like that" I said walking up also.

"Duke get yo bitch" he said.

That put the cherry on the top

"Fuck nigga watch your fucking mouth, cause you think you run shit when you don't .  Ain't nobody scared of your big ugly grizzly looking bea- " I said but felt myself being picked up.

I looked to see who was taking me out the back  door and it was Trey.

"Why you always at the shop" I asked, as he put me down.

"Apparently to save yo stupid ass , why you arguing with ghost" he asked.

"Don't start nothing, won't be nothing" I said, shrugging my shoulders.

Trey shook his head and laughed.

"Pop said you can have the rest of the day off" Trey told me walking back in the building.

I followed behind him but he looked back and raised a eyebrow.

"What you doing" he asked.

"I gotta get my purse nigga" I said pushing my way infront of him.

I seen ghost sitting in the seat my station was at. I looked at Pop but , he looked back at his newspaper.

"Ain't got shit to do with me " I heard him say.

I waved him off and grabbed my belongings off of my station.

"Ever heard of excuse me little girl" he said, looking at me.

"Ever heard of get the fuck out my face" I shot back.

He laughed. "Yeah I'll catch you out here" he said smirking.

I shot him a bird and walked out of the barbershop. I made my way to Lani house to tell her the shit I just went through.

Lani's House

"Girl you argued with Tyshear ass" Lani said sitting down.

"Girl fuck him and what he stand for . He don't scare nothing over here" I said, putting my purse down.

"Until his ass start shooting at you" Lani said laughing .

"Girl you supposed to be on my side" I said , rolling my eyes.

"I'm sorry , I'm sorry " she said , throwing her hands up in defense.

"Mhm, where Ant and Junie at" I asked.

"Junie in my room sleep and Ant he had to make a drop real quick " Lani said.

"He still doing that shit huh" I asked.

"Yup" Lani said popping the P.

"I can't wait till his ass stop , this shit a dangerous game he playing" Lani sighed.

I shook my head in agreement.

"Well I gotta go home before it get to dark out" I said standing up.

"Girl just stay here for the night and you can ride with me to school tomorrow " Lani said.

I thought about it then just agreed to stay the night . I was tired anyways and did not feel like walking.

"Where is Junie ass at, I know she ain't that tired" I asked.

Me and Lani looked at each other and shot up from our seats. We walked into her room and didn't see her in the bed.

We checked Ant's room and she wasn't in there. I opened the bathroom door and seen her bad ass. She was drawing on the bathtub with Lani eyeliner. I heard Lani walk in behind me.

"Junie imma fight yo ass" Lani said.

Junie started laughing and clapping her hands.

"Get yo bad ass out this bathroom" I said,  picking Junie up.

"You know better" I said, popping her on the leg.

Her eyes started to tear up then she started crying loud as hell. I sat her down on the couch and went back into the bathroom. I seen Lani wiping the eyeliner off of the bathtub.

"I could've did it " I said, rubbing my elbow awkwardly .

"Girl you know it ain't nothing. Find a movie for us so we can watch it and I'll order wings with pizza" Lani said, waving me off.

"Okay" I responded back.

I called the pizza place and turned on Friday.
