"Don't forget to turn in your essays" the teacher yelled out.

I walked out the class and headed to the cafeteria. As I was walking I felt somebody bump into me.

"I'm so sorry" I heard.

I turned around and seen the new girl I heard people talking about.

"It's okay" I said and smiled.

"Do you mind helping me, I'm new but not new" she said laughing.

"First time at this school" I asked her.

She shook her head yes. She handed me her schedule so I could look at it.

"You have lunch this period , you can come with me if you want" I said.

"Thanks" she said smiling.

We walked to the cafeteria and sat down at a table.

"So what's your name" she asked me.

"Nova"

"That's pretty my name's lyric" she said.

"Cool"

I seen Milani and waved my hand so she can come over here.

"Wassup bestie" she said sitting next to me.

"Hey , this lyric" I said.

"Oh so you the new girl everybody talking bout" Milani said.

"Wait everybody talking bout me what they saying" she said.

"That you the new girl what else" Milani said laughing.

Lyric laughed too but you could tell she was uncomfortable. We talked for a lil bit and I learned that lyric was from my side of town. I got a text message and looked to see who it was.

I closed my phone and looked up to see lyric gone.

"Where she went" I asked Milani.

"Front office , ion like her vibe though" Milani said.

"How you don't like her and y'all ain't even have a real conversation"

"Ion know she just give me off vibes maybe it's just me" she said shrugging.

"Yeah but i gotta go to class I'll see you last period" I told her.

I got up and went to my next class. I walked in and seen street. He was the only one who ain't drop out. I went over and sat next to him.
