8: I've got a Lamia on Booty Call

"You can't be serious. Are you telling me that YOU'RE the son of Sally Doran?!" I'm sure I looked like a fool right then. I mean why are they so surprised that my mom is Sally Doran? How do they even know her?

"Yeah I'm Sally Doran's son, so what?" I said looking smug, "Look Jason.....your mom was a very powerful Spellcaster, so was your dad...."

I cut her short, "Whoa, whoa. Hold it right there...." Randy paused and said, "What's the problem kid." I looked at him like he was dumb.

"You’re telling me that a piece of shit called my father was one of your strongest Spellcasters?!" They looked at me like I was crazy and the girl next to me said, "Why do you talk about your father that way?"

"Why! WHY!!...." I was already starting to boil with anger, so much anger that the glasses of wine on the round table shattered and the windows were burst open. I didn't notice at the time.

"You're asking why I talk about him like that! That goddamn idiot never believed in me! He always criticized everything I did! He always thought that I'd end up homeless and poor. And what hurts most is he was right, but it wasn't because I was a lazy dropout, it was because I was on the run." I already calm at this point, "Because I'm a 'Spellcaster'."

I put an unbelieving tone in my voice. "But what I don't understand is that they were both Spellcasters, your strongest in fact." Randy was the first to speak, "Are you done kid..." the woman cleaned the shards of glass from the table and her shirt but stopped to hit Randy upside his head, "Be nice to him. I'm sorry for his behaviour. Now sit and let me tell you what you need to know. First, yes your parents were our strongest Spellcasters, second...."

I sat down and asked, "But your prophesy says that two Spellcasters that didn't know their heritage so I can't be 'THE ONE'." She has that same disgusted look on her face like the one her daughter has, "I was getting to that, second they don't have their memories because of what happened 18 years ago, two months before you were born in fact."

"Spellcasters aren't supposed to fall in love and or marry other Spellcasters." At this point there wasn't any reason to interrupt because I was wrapped around the story like a snake who found some lunch. "That's because the prophesy also says that the chosen one might wipe out the entire race of Spellcasters if he or she gets captured by he who shall not be named." I looked down cuz I was almost captured by one of his henchmen's goons(They're so evil and powerful that even the henchmen had goons) and if they were right that I was the chosen one then I'd have destroyed my kind which is kinda depressing.

The woman continued, "Your father and mother were on a mission to free a small town that had been infested with servorum, up on arriving they defeated all the monsters and one of the higher ranked monsters. There was only one more high ranking servus but your mother was injured so your father saved her and brought her back to headquarters in Rome. Since then they had fallen in love. But it was forbidden so they kept it a secret but it didn't last because your mom got pregnant with you. When the council found out, they were furious."

I got up and asked a question, "I thought the prophesy said that it was two of the strongest Spellcasters who didn't know their heritage so I don't understand, why was this so called council angry??"

Randy answered this question, "Because prophecies aren't so straight forward so we don't take any chances" and the woman continued, "But what's worse is trying to stop a prophesy, which is exactly what the council did."

She seemed really pissed with that fact. "Wait, before you continue, so you're telling me that you're all Spellcasters but you..." I was facing the woman at this point, "You married a mortal."
