THE PEACOCK WHO WANTED FLY

         There was a girl called Gigi, who took care of homeless and hungry birds, she loved all of them so much and did her best to cater for them.

          One day her father died and her stepmother decided to raise her. The stepmother really hated the birds so one night, she and Gigi, had a talk. It went like this,

     "Gigi dear, you know I don't like these birds they are always pecking at my feet", said the stepmother.

        " But mother, I love them so much and they are very homeless and hungry so I can't send them away", Gigi replied.

        " I'll leave you to them but the food is really scarce and when I sell the eggs and vegetables at the market, no one buys", her stepmother said sadly.

        " Don't worry mother, I'll go and do chores in other people's homes after school, that will cost more than a penny so we will be able to buy food for us and the birds", said Gigi.

         " I can't let you go and work, you are too small and you can get sick because u won't have time to rest", said her stepmother.

            " Don't worry mother, I'll be able to do it", said Gigi

          So after school, Gigi went to people's houses to do their chores and earn money. When she goes goes to the homes of rich, she gets £10 and above but it doesn't reach 20. When she goes to middle class homes, she gets £10 and below. When she goes to normal people's homes, she gets £5 and below, mostly below.

         One day Gigi fell ill and wasn't able to do anything, she lay in bed day and night and her stepmother always came to serve her. Her stepmother knew that Gigi would love to take care of the birds so she did that for her. 

      One day when she went to the forest to collect wood because they did not have money to buy it. A tree fell on her and she died. 

      No one told Gigi the news because she was so sick. Gigi recovered very soon because her stepmother's sister took care of her. 

         After Gigi felt better, they told her about her stepmother's death she cried so much. After the funeral ended, she was to live in her stepmother's sisters house. 

      The stepmother's sister hated animals end decided to cook them because they were so many that there will be enough food for she and her children.

     Gigi didn't want her to kill them so she told them, so she hid some of them in the trees, some in Meadows and some in coups.

        Gigi was not able to take care of them because of her stepmother's sister. So she told them to buy their own food and they should spread all over the world.

             Peacock saw some birds flying and moving to different places. Gigi put peacock in a meadow so he had many crops to eat from. Peacock was not happy at all because some animals could fly and see other things in the world but he couldn't. He knew he needed to do something.

            While peacock was walking, he saw a quail on the ground and he was amazed by it's beaty and designs. It wanted to look just like it. Peacock went out and collected many things, he collected features from his friends, he collected threads, he collected pine cones, he collected leaves, most of all he collected diamonds.

           Peacock worked day and night to get them together and put it on he and his wife. When he was done he placed it at he and his wife's tail. In the morning, the other birds saw him and were amazed by his beauty. He didn't worry about flying because he was too busy admiring his own beauty.

         One day, Gigi's stepmother's sister came to the meadow because she was looking for birds to cook. When she was going she saw peacock and said,

  "Wow, I've never seen anything like it. I need to get it and I'll be the richest person in the world "

    Peacock heard her and tried to run away, all of a sudden, peacock realised he was flying, he was very happy because his dream came true. He took Gigi away with he and his wife and they travelled to to different places. 

      Peacock realised that whatever you want to do, you need to believe and be patient.
