Nightmare knocked on Dream's door, which was coated in stickers of rainbows and the sun. He rubbed his eyes, way too tired to deal with Dream taking 5 hours to get ready for an 8 hour school day. "Almost ready, brother!"
"You better be, you need to eat breakfast before we get on the fucking bus." He shouted, walking away.
Nightmare hated mornings, he really did. He was more of a night owl, staying up till morning watching youtube videos and writing in his notebook. Dream, on the other hand, was a morning person and went to bed at ridiculous hours of the evening. He went to bed as early as 7 and got up at 4 in the morning. Like he said, ridiculous.
Nightmare headed downstairs, his tennis shoes thudding against the carpet.
It was currently 6:45 in the morning, around 15 minutes before the bus came and picked them up. Nightmare thought it was stupid, the bus driver -Mr. Brown- always went down the wrong roads and turns and picked up students that weren't even on his route, then yelling at the kids for not telling him. And by the time he dropped the elementary and middle school kids off, it would be 5 minutes before school started. Then NIghtmare would either be late or have to run with all his shit to get to class. And Dream would always be there before him, even though they got off at the same time and entered the building at the same time. It was fucking ridiculous.
Reaching the bottom step, Nightmare heard Dream's door open.
'Fucking finally.' He thought, walking in the kitchen to get some pop tarts.
Seconds later, Dream skipped into the kitchen, lunch bag and backpack in hand.
"Hello brother!"
Nightmare looked up from the packaging and raised a bonebrow.
Dream had a light blue button up shirt, which looked freshly ironed. The collar was completely straight and even, holding a large blue star pendant. The cuffs of his shirt were raised up, revealing yellow fingerless gloves. His shirt was tucked neatly into a belt, which was holding up his long skinny jeans.
"Dress shoes, really? We're not going to an office meeting."
"Well... My Tennis shoes are completely ruined from band practice, and these were the only ones I could find."
"You have a pair of those yellow boots, you know."
"Brother, that would not match!"
Nightmare just ended up rolling his eyes and turning back to the poptart, stuffing it whole into his mouth.
"YOu're going to ruin your shirt like that."
He looked up at Dream and gave a middle finger.

"This is what happens when you sleep over, Geno." Cross said, putting a spoonful of cereal in his mouth.
"It's not my fault Reaper found out where I lived." Geno responded, rubbing the back of his neck.
Cross nodded.
"You know where the toaster is?"
"Of course I do." Geno responded, grabbing two slices of bread and popping them in the slots of the toaster.
A small child walked into the room, messy white hair covering their left eye.
"Eye, Chara."
"Shut up... Where's the-" He ran straight into the cabinet, making Cross spit out his milk and Geno started laughing.
"Shut up!" Chara yelled, grabbing his nose in pain and whining.
"You're fine." Cross said, grabbing a paper towel and cleaning up the mess he made.
Geno rolled his eyes and opened the freezer, grabbing a small ice pack and tossing it at Chara.
"I like Geno better than you!"
"You're just a pushover 9 year old." Cross stated, smiling at Chara mischievously."Oh shut up!"
Geno laughed and took the toast out of the toaster, smiling at the crispy brown pieces of bread.
"I swear your toast is burned." Cross said, taking the next spoonful of cereal.
"Eh, yeah."
Chara sat down at the table. "Why're you even staying over again?"
Cross looked up and said, "Reaper."
"Ah, okay."
Geno usually stayed at Cross' or Ink's house most of the time, because he didn't like his own home. Reaper was Genos... Flirty friend, and Reaper ended up figuring out where Geno lived, which got the bleeding skeleton scared. Cross nor Chara minded Geno's sleepover's at all. Chara kind of looked up to the glitchy one, more than his own brother at least.
"You got your stuff?" Cross asked, raising the bowl up and draining the rest of the milk out of it.
"Yeah, it's on the couch."
Geno sat down with his toast, taking a huge bite out of the first piece.
"Doesn't your mom drive you to school?" Geno asked.
"She used to, now she's working from five to 9 so she can't drop us off and pick us up." Chara responded.
"So we have to walk." He complained.
"I mean, you're less than a mile from the elementary school, it's not that far, right?"
Chara looked at Geno and pouted, making the bleeding skeleton laugh.
"Okay then."
