Nightmare and the group left the school, since auditions were after school hours, it was dark outside. Onyx had a smile on their face while the group just gave them weird looks. Onyx noticed after a second.

"What?" They asked

"You lied to us about your song."

"Oh, yeah, guess i did." Onyx said shrugging, "Eh, does it matter?"

"Your song was about, murder, pedophilia, rape, and cannablisim. I'm pretty sure it matters."

Onyx shrugged again before noticing a familiar blue car.

"Oh goddamnit, sorry guys, my brother's here."
"You have a brother?"

Onyx just glanced at Ink, trying to come up with a comeback, but sighing. "Yeah."

They got into the car, giving the group a middle finger.

"See you fuckers tomorrow!"

"It's friday!" Dust yelled, and Onyx just held the expression of horror as the car drove away.

Nightmare snorted at that, watching as Dream started to walk away with INk.

"You spending the night again?"

Dream turned around and nodded excitedly.

"Bye bitches!" Horror yelled, running away from a screaming Killer.

Error just rolled his eyes.

"1'll s33 y0u guys 0n-0n M0nd@y."

Nightmare nodded, watching as everyone around them left.

Taking a step forward, Nightmare was stopped by a voice. "Uh... Nightmare?"

The goopy skeleton turned around, bonebrow raised.

"Yes, Cross?"

The nervous skeleton looked around the dark road, gulping.

"C-C-"

Nightmare rolled his eyes. "YOu want me to talk you home?"

Cross' eyes widened a little bit, and he looked down, nodding sullenly.

The octopus chuckled. "Why, are you afraid of the dark~?"

The smaller jumped and yelled, "I'm not!"

"Then you obviously don't need my help."

Freezing, Cross opened his mouth to object, but only a hoarse wheeze came out.

Nightmare chuckled again. "Fine, fine. You owe me."

Cross nodded quickly, jogging after the black skeleton.

"Wait up!"
The two disappeared into the night, one afraid, the other cocky.

"I didn't know you were afraid of the dark."
"I'm not afraid of that dark, okay? I-I... I just don't trust what's in the dark."

Nightmare tilted his head to the side, meeting his eye with Cross'.

"That's understandable. But, I'm dark. Are you afraid of me?"

A tentacle poked Cross' head, and the other screeched, getting into a defensive position.

Nightmare cackled, covering his face with his hand to quiet himself.

"Sh-shut up!" Cross yelled, running after Nightmare to stay close.

The two fell into silence, and Cross watch his feet, hearing the sound of both of their shoes scuffing against the concrete.

"You did well." Nightmare suddenly spoke up, glancing at Cross momentarily.

The monochrome skeleton looked up, surprised. "Wh-what?"
Nightmare didn't answer, only looked ahead with that grin on his face.

"Oh... uh... Thanks... You did really well too."

Nightmare just nodded.

Cross gulped, suddenly overpowered by the skeleton's praise.

Soon enough, Nightmare stopped dead in his tracks, making Cross stop too.

"Why'd you stop?"

The darker just chuckled, nodding to the right.

Cross looked, and sure enough, his little house stood, all lights on.

He jumped, an embarrassed look coming to his face.

"Oh. Uh, thanks."

Cross smiled nervously to NIghtmare, walking up the stairs of his house.

"See you Monday."

Nightmare just nodded, watching as Cross opened his door with a key and slipped himself inside.

The light shed onto Nightmare disappeared, and he was left in total darkness.

Smirking, Nightmare just looked away, disappearing into the night again.
