When we got to the cafeteria, I led Sky over to the food.

"We have a little bit of everything. Some of it is like the basic school lunch. Sometimes it's nasty, sometimes it's not. We have the sandwich bar, salad bar, desert island, drink section, and hotfood aisle. Sometimes they serve burritos or chicken sandwiches. But then you gotta get here early because it is like a riot in here. One time this girl got elbowed in the face it was horrib...."I trailed off as I realized I was rambling. "Sorry about that. "

"It's ok. I realize that when you start rambling to just let you go." She chuckled. "Now c'mon let's eat. I'm starving."

She grabbed my hand and lead me into the food. After we got our food and I paid for it - with much argument- we finally sat down.

" So how is your day going so far?" I asked in between bites.

"So far so good. My teachers seem pretty cool and I haven't had any problems with anyone."

The thought of someone messig with her irked me. "Why would someone have a problem with you? If someone steps to you let me know. I'll deal with them."

Must protect mate. I agree with ya buddy.

"Calm down Rocky. I was just saying since I'm new to the pack, that it might be a problem." She shrugged. 

"Pack? What pack?" I asked confused.

She looked at me, wide eyed. I saw a realization go through her eyes before she looked down.

"Oh sorry that's what I uh call neighborhoods from back home." She rubbed the back of her neck and looked down.

"Are you sure? That's a ...."

"Dominic baby. I missed you." I felt arms warp around my shoulders. I looked down at thwm and back before I realized it was just Eve, the school pass around.

"Eve, please get off of me."

"Who is this? " she said looking Sky up and down like a piece of trash as she unwound herself from me.

"This is Sky she is new." I looked at Sky. Oh boy she looks angry.

"Hi."

"Hmph. So anyway babe, I miss you. We haven't hung out in so long." She put her hand on my arm. Looking away from Sky, I looked down at it. I heard a dark growl coming from Sky when she saw it. By the time I looked up, she was out of the cafeteria. 

Sighing, I stood up and looked at Eve. "Eve we have never hung out. You know I don't like you and I will never get with you. This is one ride that you will never get on. So let it go and leave me alone."

With that, I turned and went after Sky.

Sky's POV

I had to get out of there. If I didn't that she-wolf would've been splattered all over the table without a doubt for touching my mate.

As if it isn't hard enough being a new person in a pack. The last thing I need is to be put to death for beating some skank for putting her hands on what was mine.

That's right he is ours. I just don't think he knows it yet.

'What do you mean?

Think about it. He was so confused when we mentioned the word pack. I'm not sure if he is aware that he is our mate.

That hurt my heart. What was the point of having a mate who you were supposed to love, cherish and spend the rest of your life if they didn't know it was you?

Sighing, I rested my head on my locker. "What am I going to do?"

Feeling arms come around me, I tensed up before smelling Dom's scent.

He smells like the sky before it rains.

"I'm sorry for back there. Eve has been on my ass since the beginning of time. But she is just mad because I won't fall for her trap. I'm probably one of the few guys in this school who won't sleep with her. She..."

Chuckling, I turned and wrapped my arms around his waist. "You're rambling again hun. Don't worry about it. I've been dealing with girls like her for a while. I just needed to breathe for a second."

"Sorry about that." His arms tightened.

"It's ok. I like when you ramble. It's cute." I responded while nuzzling his chest. The bell rung signalling the end of lunch. I pulled back to look at him. "Now c'mon aren't you supposed to be walking me to class?"

Well atleast I got a laugh out of him. And boy what a laugh it was.

"Right this way milady"
