As we were waiting for the buses to leave, the huge guy from the argument walked up to me and Julie. "Heyy! I'm Blute Parker and you?" he asked me. "Hey, I'm Emma! Emma Roberts" I replied. I was feeling like Harry Potter standing in front of Hagrid. He was huge and I was tiny. Me being a Potter head that was the only thing going on and on in my mind.
On our way back home, in the bus everyone had gone bonkers. They were playing loud music and dancing like hooligans. I wanted to run out of the bus, it was quite irritating in the first place and I wasn't used to loud surroundings. " Why don't you join us ?" I heard Blute calling me out. "I'm good here you carry on" I replied. The party was still on for everyone and the bus stopped at my stop.
I got back home, my feet had bruises on them because of the heels and I was really tired but happy today. My dad and brother were in the living room talking about something and my mom was in the kitchen preparing dinner. My Gramps was busy on a video call with my uncle.
"Brian!! What is with your behaviour at school?? Why aren't you submitting your assignments?? There are many other complaints about you being a bully too" I heard my dad's furious voice while I was walking in.
Brian was my younger brother but was taller and healthier than me. He stood there quitely listening to my dad. Unlike me who used to speak non-stop at home, he was quite and never spoke much. "I wouldn't do it next time Dad" Brian spoke out and walked into his room. "Learn something from your elder brother and sister, take them as your example and work hard. They were good kids, they never did anything that brought us shame." my dad was yelling at Brian.
In the meantime I walked in and hugged my dad, his anger calmed down. Perks of being the only daughter. "Dadd!!! Don't be so hard on him he is just a kid and where are my chocolates I haven't eaten any in the past 24 hrs" I said pouting. We were interrupted by the door bell ringing.
"Excuse me Sir!, can u please help me with this address?" a man in his late 20's and well built personality, stood at the door handing my Dad a slip. I was standing behind my Dad and couldn't see his face. He looked very familiar. "I'm not sure but my daughter could help you with it" my dad replied. "Meee!! I'm very bad with addr....."when I was about to complete my sentence my Dad moved out of my way.
I was shocked when I saw his similar smirk and welcoming arms "Pete!! I still hate you okay you left without telling a goodbye" I ran to him with tears in my eyes.
The happiness engulfing us at that moment was inexplicable. We stood there for almost like 10 minutes in each other's warm embrace crying and trying to speak about how much we missed each other. I didn't want to let go of him, I hadn't spoken to him or seen him for five years now. All the anger built over years withered away the moment I saw him. I realised at the end of the day love is what matters, distance and time doesn't destroy bonds. My brother went missing when I needed him the most but he was back now.
