Chapter 2

His voice lingering in your mind, his arms around you, the butterflies welling up in your abdomen. You felt his hands touch your cheek, his face still lingering in the darkness. You snapped awake. you looked around the room, Kimi knocked out halfway on her bed. You sighed and put her legs on the bed and covered her in a blanket 'she must have gotten in late' 

You threw some sweatpants and a t-shirt on, deciding to go and get some breakfast for when Kimi wakes up. Walking down the hall toward the café, you grabbed some snacks. You went to leave but you heard someone call your name.

"Y/N! Hey!" You turned and saw Teru, he was with a group of students and waving you over. You couldn't believe he remembered your name, 'WAIT I LOOK LIKE CRAP' .

"Hey Teru! I've gotta be somewhere! Good to see you!" You yelled, trying to make your escape. As soon as you made it back to your hall you sighed, 'I kinda feel like a jerk' you thought to yourself. You were opening your door, but someone else left their room down the hall, you looked up and were met with beautiful amber eyes. The boy smiled at you lightly before you averted your gaze and closed your door behind you. Why did the look in his eye entice you?

"Kimi wake up! We've got orientation today you need to eat!!" You poked her seemingly lifeless body, she stirred and whined. 

"Y/N its too early..." her body shifted so she was hidden from you under the blanket.

"Its 11 hun! Time to get up, we've got 40 minutes to get ready to go so we aren't late! You'd better shower, stinky!!" you took the blanket off her.

"You're so mean Y/N!!!" She sat up and pouted at you. "I'm so sleeeepppyyy"

"C'mon Kimi I'll let you pick my clothes!" you bribed.

"DONE AND DONE" she shot up and went digging in her bag.

**AT THE ORIENTATION**

You pulled your dress down a bit. "You're positive my ass isn't hanging out?" 

"No your ass is covered! and it looks good babes!" Kimi grinned. She made you wear one of her dresses, a bodycon t-shirt dress. Its cute! but veeeeery form fitting, you tried to cover yourself with an oversized denim jacket but it didn't cover as much as you wanted. You would have complained but she was holding back from having you wear a velvet dress with plunging neckline, which would have made you stick out like a sore thumb.

"Whatever lets just sit down please" You made your way inside the lecture hall and looked around trying to figure out where to sit, You scanned the room and decided to sit on the left side in one of the higher rows. Before you got comfortable Kimi saw Talia a few rows down and went to get her to sit with the two of you. As she stepped away you felt someone breathing close to your neck, you froze and heard the voice you hadn't been able to get out of your head.

"You look pretty today, princess..." he whispered near your ear. "Do me a favor and don't turn around, I want who I am to be a surprise." You felt frozen. You wanted to turn and see the man who made your stomach churn with a mere whisper, but you couldn't move. "Good girl... I'll see you later, beautiful" you felt his presence leave and by the time you got ahold of yourself, you turned and he was gone.

"Are you okay Y/N?? You look frazzled" Kimi came back with Talia, settling in next to you.

"Yeah! Fine..." You made a mental note to tell Kimi about this later, in private. 

**After Orientation**

"Gosh that was boring!! Lets get lunch!" Kimi grinned

"You guys go ahead! I've gotta grab my notebook from the room then I'll meet you." You said, hoping to have a few minutes to think about your mystery man without Kimi begging me to tell her how things went with Teru last night.

"Alright don't take too long or we'll eat without you" she said, running off with Talia. You walked toward the dorm building, lost in thought. Then you felt a tap on your shoulder, You turned and saw the boy from earlier with the amber eyes. 

"Hi! You're down the hall from me right?" He smiled "I'm Amane!"

"Y-Yeah. I saw you this morning! I'm Y/N" you couldn't help but grin, he had a cute smile.

"I just wanted to introduce myself, I figured we could be friends since we're down the hall from eachother! Anyways I'll see you around!" He grinned and waved, walking off in another direction. You smiled 'I guess there are cute guys around here after all'.

Rushing back to the cafeteria, you finally found Kimi and Talia. "Took you long enough!!" Kimi whined. "I've been starving here"

"Not my fault you didn't eat the breakfast I got you" you stuck out your tongue, Kimi did the same and Talia just laughed.

"You two are really close, its cute" She said, looking between you and Kimi.

"Yeah I've been stuck with this idiot for quite some time" Kimi giggled. You would have responded with a sly remark but you were still thinking about last night. The voice playing in your head like a broken record. 

"Do you guys know anything about King?" you blurted out randomly, both of them got eerily quiet.

"You mean the demon of the campus? the leader of the school gang? that King?" Talia questioned.

"I guess so?" 

"He's one of the most dangerous people in the city. No one here knows what he looks like though, not even the gang members! He wears a mask, but its said that his red eyes burn like fire when he's angry" Kimi added.

"Oh... no one knows what he looks like?" you sighed, there goes that idea...

"No... Why do you wanna know about him?? Talia asked.

"I heard a rumor and was curious I guess" You shrugged, you can't tell Kimi... you needed to keep this to yourself for now...
