Chapter 1 times of peace

A/n I know I know when I said I'll have irregular updates on my highschool dxd fic I'm over here writing another one doesn't make sense right? But it's a story I've been thinking about starting since before my other one but here we go

(Ninja academy)

"What are we doing here Shikamaru No ones here" said naruto as they walked through the halls of the academy
"Just relax we're here" he replied as they stood in front of a class room door and Shikamaru opened it To see iruka and Kakashi standing in the class room
"Iruka Sensei and Kakashi Sensei what are you guys doing here?" Asked naruto
"Didn't you see the flyers or the news letter or anything? Its rokudaime sama to you now" said Shikamaru
"EHHHHH" yelled out naruto
"Well congratulations Kakashi Sensei on becoming hokage before me I'm still a little young for the job" said naruto as he walked towards him
"But keep the seat and hat warm for me dattebayo" he continued with a wide smile
"I'll keep that in mind so hows your arm naruto" asked Kakashi with his famous eye smile
"Oh ha. Ha. We get it I'm missing an arm" replied naruto as he lifted what would be his right arm as he deadpanned and iruka chuckled
"Now on to more important business naruto you didn't get the chance to take the chunnin exams did you?" Asked Kakashi And naruto shook his head no
"With the war going on and everything going on with the Akatsuki I never got the chance" he replied
"I think it's safe to say that your skills as a ninja are second to none" Kakashi continued as the other 2 in the room nodded their head in agreement
"So with that said Naruto Uzumaki for your help in the war and all your achievements I Kakashi Hatake rokudaime hokage of Konoha grant you the rank of elite Jounin" said Kakashi the 3 widened their eyes in shock Shikamaru and iruka knew he was going to get promoted but elite Jounin is something amazing naruto couldn't believe it
'I finally got promoted and to elite Jounin at that' he thought
"Kakashi Sensei are you sure ?" Naruto asked still in disbelief
"Yes like I said your skills as a ninja are second to none if it wasn't for you none of us would be here right now it's because of you we have peace and because of you that the will of fire may continue to burn throughout generations" explained Kakashi
"Come by my office tomorrow at 9 to receive your Jounin vest and some scrolls and other things your father left for you for when you became Jounin" said kakashi as he walked out of the room And closed the door
"Congratulations naruto!" Said iruka as smiled at naruto
"Arigato! This took me by surprise but I'm really happy dattebayo" replied naruto as he smiled Shikamaru just smiled at him he was happy for his friend
"Well Im gonna go moms making dinner and she gets real mad if I'm late" said Shikamaru and he left the room naruto looked outside and noticed the sun was beginning to set
"Naruto how bout we go get some ramen to celebrate your promotion" said iruka
"Yeah! Let's go" naruto cheered out and both left the room as they were walking on the outside naruto noticed a certain swing on a tree and stopped
"Naruto?" Iruka asked him to see if he was okay
"Iruka Sensei I just want to say thank you" said naruto iruka raised an eyebrow at this
"You were the first person to believe in me and acknowledge me when no one else did and because I was able to become the man I am today to be honest if it wasn't for you I don't know where I would have ended up" said naruto as he smiled at iruka. Iruka started to tear up at his words and wiped the tears away with his shirt
"Alright that's it today you can get whatever you want it's on me" said iruka
"Really? All right!" Cheered naruto again and they were off to ichiraku

(Next day)

Naruto woke up in his apartment and looked at the time it was 830 am
'I can't believe I'm a Jounin now' he thought
"Congrats naruto but to be honest you're much stronger than just a Jounin"
'Thanks Kurama lets get the day started' he thought as he got up from his bed and and got ready for the day putting on his usual orange jumpsuit
"You know it might be time for you to switch outfits" said Kurama
"Youre probably right but ero sennin gave me this speaking of which I should go visit him today" said naruto out loud as he left his apartment and ran towards the hokage tower in a really good mood as he passed by the citizens were saying good morning and he was greeting back he finally had everyone acknowledge him and it felt great.

He got to the hokage tower and walked in the receptionist was a familiar brunette he knew
"Shizune neechan!" Said naruto as he smiled
"Oh hi naruto!" She greeted back
"I thought you would of left with Tsunade baachan since she retired as hokage" said naruto
"I thought about it but Konoha is my home plus Sakura chan need medics in the hospital to help so I work at both I'm too busy to up and leave" explained Shizune
"How is she? I haven't seen her since I left the hospital" asked naruto
"She's been busy but she's holding up just fine" she replied and naruto nodded
"That's great to hear anyways is kakashi Sensei busy?" He asked
"You know you should really get used to calling him rokudaime sama" she replied
"When have you ever heard me call the hokage by their title?" He said as he deadpanned
"Yeah I guess you're but he's expecting you go on up" she said as she pointed towards the stairs
And he went up he finally reached the door to the hokage office and knocked
"Come in" he heard kakashis voice from inside and opened the door and saw kakashi was at his desk with a Jounin vest covered in plastic and a box of scrolls.
"Hey kakashi Sensei" naruto said as he walked in
"Ah naruto good you're here" he greeted him
"Here's the Jounin vest now the requirements for hokage are for you to take at least one genin team" said kakashi
"Ehhhhh but Tsunade baachan never had one" yelled out naruto
"She was an exception since the village needed a hokage and Jiraiya Sama turned it down" explained kakashi
"I guess I understand" said naruto
"Good now would you like a team from this graduating class which graduates in about 6 months or next year?" Asked kakashi
"Lets just get it over with I'll take a team this year" said naruto and kakashi nodded and wrote it down
"Now on for the scrolls we unfortunately don't know what are in these scrolls since Minato Sensei put a blood seal on it so only those of his kin may open it also you'll get access to your fathers and mothers funds in their accounts which is quite the size able amount" said kakashi as he handed naruto a paper with the account balances and numbers naruto widened his eyes
'Guess i won't have to worry about money for a while' thought naruto as naruto made a familiar cross sign
"Kagebushin no Jutsu" he said another naruto appeared and handed him the box of scrolls
"Take these to the apartment and leave them on the table" he said and the clone nodded and left with the box
"Well I hope you find everything enjoyable if that's all you may leave" said kakashi
"Alright see ya later kakashi Sensei" said naruto as he waved and left vest in hand he decided to go to the clothing store to take Kuramas advice and get a change of clothes

Small time skip

He came out of the clothing store with black ninja shoes black Anbu pants and a black long sleeve shirt with 2 wristbands on each side with his Jounin vest on top (a/n think of minatos outfit except no overcoat and black) with his old out fit in his hand he decided to go to a certain part of the forest that was very dear to him

(Scene change )

He walked in front of the grave site he made for his master and sibling students and knelt down did a small prayer and began to speak
"Hey there ero sennin I know it's been a while I've been really busy after the fight with Nagato guess what we went to war like you said ero sennin war causes slot of pain but we managed to survive and and also I brought Sasuke back to the village dattebayo I sure did prove you wrong" said naruto as he began to sob
"And today I became an elite Jounin I'm one step closer to my dream I wish you could be here ero sennin to see me grow and become hokage" said naruto as he cried
"I wish you were here Jiraiya Sensei" he said as he continued to cry
"I will continue to teach your teachings Sensei so these times of peace can continue" he continued as he got up dried his tears and went home.

(Scene change)

He got home and went inside to find the box of scrolls on the table but one caught his attention the most it was a medium size scroll with red borders and a lighting bolt on the middle Jiraiya had thought him about seals on their 3 year training trip he was only a level 5 seal master only half as good as Jiraiya and his father but he knew what to do and bit his thumb and slid it on the thunder bolt and the scroll opened and he layed the scroll on the table it was all for one Jutsu and as he read the scroll and Jutsu name he realized this way the Jutsu that got his father the nickname the yellow flash
"The hiraishin no Jutsu"
