Y/n's POV

I woke up in a dark room. At least I think it was a room? I was laying on a mattress on the floor. It was soft but smelled slightly of smoke and dust. I sat up as my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I saw it was a very small but long room and the walls were metal. A shipping container, I guessed. I went to stand up but noticed my hands were chained together and then attached to a bent metal rod that had been welded to the wall. How did I get here? I tried to think of the last thing I could remember, and... oh, right... the woman... and Minji's... apology. Did she get me captured? Or was it a coincidence? I trusted her and-

My inner monologue was interrupted by the low murmuring sounds coming from outside. I could identify at least 3 voices, which makes me think, 'who are they, what do they want, and why did they kidnap me?'. I wouldn't have to wait long to ask them because the next thing I know, the shipping container door is being unlocked.

The murmuring turned to low whispers as the door was opening, but now without a wall between us, I could make out words such as "their brother" and "know you". Then there was a moment or two of complete silence before Minji is all but shoved into the container with me and the door is shut. After fumbling in the dark a bit, she manages to turn on the tall lamp near the door and floods the small area with light. I took note of her outfit. Gone was her brightly coloured shorts and t-shirt. Now she looked like she belonged in a punk band.

"Hi Y/n." she says, or at least tries to say, but her voice cracked and it sounded more like a squeak.

"Hi." I replied.

"I..." Minji gulped and then continued. "They made me come in here to calm you down. You know, in case you were angry or violent. I told them you wouldn't be. I knew you'd just want answers to everything..."

I laughed. It sounded bittersweet. "You know me so well."

"Yeah well, what kind of friend would I be if I didn't?" she laughed back, it was strange.

A beat of awkward silence followed before Minji blurted out.

"I'm so so sorry Y/n. I didn't want to do this, to kidnap you. When the two of us became friends I even begged them not to."

"When we became friends? You've been planning this from the start? Was our friendship ever real to you?" I could feel tears gathering in my eyes but I ignored them.

"Always. It was always real. If circumstances were different, I'd have hoped we'd be friends for life. I completely understand if you never want to see my face again, but this was our last resort. Again, I'm so sorry." she dropped to her knees and started sobbing into her hands.

"Last resort? Last resort for what?" I walked a little closer, the chain scraping across the floor, and spoke softly. "Minji, why am I here?"

Then the container door opened.

CL's POV

After carefully moving an unconscious Y/n into the van and driving back to our headquarters (read: hideout) that was, conveniently, an old half burned down mattress warehouse, we placed them down on the mattress we set up inside a shipping container and made sure everything was secure.

"I still feel bad about this." Minzy said, walking up beside me. "They shouldn't have been dragged into this"

"This was our last resort. You know this." I sighed. "Besides, their brother dragged them into this when he decided to become a leader of a gang, Minzy."

She looked over at the peacefully passed out Y/n. "They know nothing about their brother's life. I'm sure of it."

I put my hand on her shoulder. "Even if what you believe is true, G Dragon left us with no other choice."

She started to stare blankly at the wall and I could tell she was getting stuck in her head so I changed the subject.

"Anyway," I began, pulling Minzy out of the container and shutting the door, I addressed the rest of the gang. "I'm sure that was a lot of work for everyone so how about we go get some chicken and eat while we wait for the..." I trailed off, trying to think of what to call them.

"Hostage?" Choon piped up.

I guess that's what they were.

"Yes, the ...hostage... to wake up?" I finished.

"Sounds good to me." Dara said. The other two nodded in agreement.

"Who's going to get it?" asked Minzy.

Dara sprang up from where she was laying on a stack of decaying mattresses that had been previously arranged to resemble a couch. "I'll go. I'm getting anxious just sitting here waiting." she said, slightly bouncing on her toes.

"I'll go too." said Minzy. "I need to get away from here for a bit."

I nodded and locked the container door. "Be careful out there. We don't know exactly when Bigbang will find out Y/n is missing."

"Don't worry about it, CL." Dara said, making a dismissive hand gesture. "It's just chicken." she joked.

Not wanting to argue, I just sighed at her. "Go on then."

"Yes ma'am!" Dara did an exaggerated salute and then dragged Minzy out the door with her.

After standing in silence and staring at the door for a few minutes, Choon turned to me. "I know you said we don't know when Bigbang will notice them missing, but do you have any kind of idea?" she asked.

"Well," I thought about what Minzy had been telling me since I sent her on this mission. "Minzy says that G Dragon is very protective of them. Both of their parents have been out of the picture for years and they love each other a lot." I shuddered, suddenly feeling a lot dirtier than before. I couldn't wait to get what I want and then wash my hands of this whole situation. "I think, going by that, and the note I left on the door to his house this morning, we'll be expecting to meet up very soon."
