Sweat trickled down Kagami's forehead as she could feel the heat inside of her fencing mask. She was on another match with Adrien Agreste, whom she had made him feel guilty, a few days back. Kagami was well-aware that Adrien would never forgive her for ruining his stage to shine for once in his life.

A phase in Adrien's life where he was truly happy to find the love of his life. Kagami wished she was one to easily let go so that she could move on and be happy herself.

But Kagami could not let go of the thought that she was the one truly meant for Adrien.

Kagami herself did not understand why she was acting so salty and immature this way.

Adrien's épée nearly slipped and hit Kagami's face. The next moment, Kagami lost balance and fell on her back. Kagami could not focus at all. Kagami took off her heavy mask and placed it hard on the floor next to her. Adrien dropped his épée, removed the front of his mask and tried to help Kagami up by lending his hand.

Kagami refused to take Adrien's help as she slapped his hand away and got up on her own. She realised she herself was making matters even worse for her and Adrien. Yet, she could never bring herself to talk to Adrien and apologize properly.

"Kagami, I'm sorry, I-i didn't mean to hurt you at all." A clueless Adrien apologised. A part of Kagami wanted to reply that it was not Adrien's fault at all, it was hers and that Kagami did not understand why Adrien was apologising to Kagami.

But instead of being truthful and clear, Kagami looked away from Adrien as she said in a frustrated voice. "I don't need you to help me, Adrien."

The blonde friend in front of her, or if Kagami could even call him that anymore, looked perplexed. "I-i-i just wanted to apologise-" Adrien nervously scratched the back of his neck.

"I don't need your help, Adrien." Kagami pulled herself off the ground.

Kagami's sharp gaze and Adrien's perplexed ones met. They shared a quiet moment with the intense atmosphere. None of them uttered a word. It stayed that way until that familiar voice chirped in, which belonged to one and only Marinette.

"Hey Adrien!" Marinette smiled at him. She then shifted her gaze to Kagami. Marinette was about to ask Kagami something but before she could do so, she stormed out of the gym and Marinette could not stop her.

Marinette shifted her worried look to Adrien. Adrien worriedly shrugged his shoulders.

Marinette gave him a tiny forced smile. "Don't worry, Blondie, we'll talk to her soon to clarify things."

Adrien could not help but smile back. "Thanks Marinette..." His smile suddenly faded and turned into a mischievous grin. "Who are you calling Blondie, hm?"

Marinette's eyes widen in surprise for a moment before she giggled. "Oopsie..!" Marinette continued. "I mean, you are blonde after all!"

Marinette walked towards where Adrien stood. "Papa told me to take this with me..." Marinette placed a brown paper bag on Adrien's palms. "I told him that I wasn't hungry which got me into a half an hour long lecture of how 'food is a life necessity'. I was planning to come here before your practice started, but eh!" She shrugged her shoulders. "They're freshly baked croissants."

Adrien's eyes twinkled with delight. "I love your dad's pastries!"

Marinette shook her head as she laughed. But her laugh faded and turned into a serious one.

"But remember, we have something really serious to talk about."

Kagami marched all the way down the street in the same angry manner. But then her walking pace slowed down. She could not do it anymore. She ran as fast as her legs could carry her, not even caring if she was still in her fencing outfit or not. If her mother saw her in that state, she would have been furious but at that point, Kagami did not care.

It was the moment she reached near Seine river that she realized how much she had walked. Kagami took a large breathe in. She felt guilty for running away from her problems. She had missed the best opportunity to make things up and apologize. She breathe out. Her emotions were a whirling pool, it was hard for her to simply be truthful and move on.

People can easily say 'Move on" to another person but when it came to themselves, they just couldn't.

Of course, Kagami had never told a person to move on, excluding Ladybug. When Queen Bee had been akumatised, Kagami had confessed to Ladybug that she believed that herself and Adrien were made for each other. Recalling that memory was a good way of embarrassment and regret. She hated the fact that she never saw it coming; she was wrong about herself being with the boy she loved. She blinked back the tears forming deep down.

Kagami's entanglement of mixed emotions snapped when she bumped into someone. "Sor- you again?" There he was, the same bluenet from the previous week.

Luka was quick to reply. "Yes, it's me. Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." Kagami felt bitter inside. She was repeating her mistakes again. She was supposed to apologize, not the blue haired boy in front of him.

Kagami became silent, averting her gaze from him. She had seen a him a couple times before, whenever there was a group hangout. It was the musician guy who had a crush on Marinette.

"Uh, hey.." Luka broke her chain of thoughts again. Kagami looked at him. Luka was about to say something when he stopped and noticed a minor detail about Kagami. "Were you crying?"

Surprised, Kagami rubbed her eyes. "No, of course not. It was just dust in my eyes." She quickly made that excuse up as she said in her monotonous voice.

Luka did not seem convinced by her words. He sighed before he said, "I know, I know...you pretty much don't know me. Do you still have the number I gave you?" Luka asked.

Kagami stayed quiet. She had no actual idea, why on Earth a guy who she had never talked to, despite being in the same group of friends, would suddenly start talking to her and even give her his own phone number and address. If you saw it from the third person's point of view, it would have sounded extremely creepy. Despite that, Kagami did not mind it as long as the guy standing in front of him was not a pushy jerk. Seeing how Kagami was quiet, Luka could only assume one thing and that was that, Kagami probably had lost it.

Luka gave up as he knew he probably sounded like a freak. "Sorry if I'm being nosy."

Luka had seen her around but had never the opportunity to talk to her in real life.

And yet, there he was, creeping her out from the moment he started speaking to her.

"Please just leave me alone." Kagami said out of the blue.

And there she was, running away really fast. This left Luka even more confused.

What was up with her?

Inside Kagami's head, she was still mixed with emotions. She could not help but feel happy that at least someone was trying to desperately get her to talk.

That was something rare for her. She had only run because everything was overwhelming for her. Adjusting to new sensation is exciting but also a scary experience at the very same time.

Of course, that bluenet boy could never guess what her mind was thinking, and neither could he guess what her life was like, behind closed doors.

Luka stood there confused as she watched the girl running away as if he said something wrong.

Was I that much of a creep?

Luka bit his bottom lip. I probably should not have asked her that question... Who asks if they still have your number and your address?!!

Luka shook his head in disapproval. He headed towards his bicycle, put his shopping bag in the front basket as he paddled away.
