Ashten
I went into my room and slammed the door. That's when I felt it. A deep, and terrible saddness. As if all hope was lost.
Why am I feeling this way. I never feel this way. Something is very wrong. I reopened my door and then I saw it. A blue mist. No mist wasn't right more like strands of lightning floating in the air. And it lead to the girls room.
At first I knocked softly on the door. When there was no answer I cracked it open a mer inch. And then all the way. She was gone.
There ways a soft buzzing sound in the room. No not buzzing but mumbling.
She was in the cornor curled in a ball, slowly rocking get herself with her hands over her ears. I walked slowly twordds her. I could feel the fear radiating off of her. Only what was she scared of. I reached out to place my hand on her shoulder. She seemed to relax a bit. She was still shaking though.
"Shhhh. Shhhh. It all right."
I rapped an arm around her and then pulled her closer. It was then that I realized how delicate she was. She was pale. Her stomach suggesting that she only got small meals. Her hair was in strands and went all the way down to her waist. She didn't look heathy. She looked sick.
But she was sick. Her forehead was extremely hot. And she started sweating like no tomorrow.
"Raven. Raven. Get in here."
The black Raven bird flew right beside me and transformed into a man with black smoke liking at his frame.
"What now. Hey why are we in he..."
He then noticed the girl in my arms
"She's ill Raven. I need your help. Go get me a cloth, a glass of water, and some warm blankets." I said this calm I hardly ever lose my cool. Though if I did sound calm on the outside it was a total lie on the inside. Truth be told I was worried about the girl no clue why though. Raven returned in under 10 minutes with all the stuff I'd asked for plus a few extra things.
He set them down beside the bed. I picked her up and laid her down on the bed. I then took the cloth from Raven went to the bathroom and soaked it in water. I returned to the bed and placed the folded wet towel over her head. Then I set the extra pillows Raven had brought under her head and also the blankets over her. I set the glass of water beside the bed and went into the hall for a phone call.
I typed Alice's number into the phone and set it to my ear as it rang.
"Hello"
"Hey Alice"
"Ahhh Ashton. What do you need?"
"One where did you go?"
I went back home. I have patients you know."
"Okay. Also I belive we have a slight problem."
"I know she's a girl and not what you were expecting but can't you just spend some time with her? Ya know just get to know her a little bit."
"That ain't what I'm talk'n bout Alice." His London street accent showing through.
"Jeez what's got you so upset dear?"
"She's sick."
"What! What do you mean she's sick?" I had to hold the phone away from my ear during this.
"I mean she's sick. Also she doesn't have the markings you showed me on her hand. I think Vince did something to her before we got there."
"Ok Ashton your going to have to cure her."
