|Izana|
"Umm... interesting... I've never seen someone do that before" I said as she weakly nodded
"Do you think I'm a monster?" She smiles which I clearly not her usual joyful one.
Her emerald eyes weren't brightly shining g like jewels anymore but they were filled with fear and desperation.
"No... no, I don't think your a monster" I smiled as her eyes widened at my statement.
"Really?" She gasps in disbelief.
"In a matter of fact I think you are like an angel" I pointed out as she quietly giggled.
"That's the Chloe I know" I chuckle as she blushes like a rose.
"Thank you Izana, you always seem to make my day" she laughs brightly
After those sudden events, I promised that I wouldn't tell a soul about what I had witnessed before and instead we started talking whilst sipping on some herbal tea and cake. He came to a specific topic about seasons which we both described our favourites,
"I prefer springs because most flowers, which are the beautiful ones grown around that time. But don't get me wrong around the winter unique and beautiful flowers grow two" Chloe stated as I let a low chuckle
I've never laughed so much in my life, whenever she was with me I felt at ease. She was like my personal relaxer, her presence was equivalent to a tranquilliser.
"Well I personally prefer the summer time as more work is gotten done but that also means that I have to do extra because of never lasting summer events" I sigh as Chloe giggles
Her laugh is like twinkle bells being sang in a rhythm, she was the only one that could put a smile on my face with just a laugh.
" *clears throat* excuse me for the intrusion your Highness Izana but your paperwork is overflowing. I suggest you head back to finish it" Lord Haruka suggested.
Seriously this man is everywhere cause whenever I want to have some personal space he sticks to me like glue. I certainly know how Zen feels now,
"Chloe, I'll have to be heading back now - see you tomorrow" I disappointedly said
"It's okay Izana, your paperwork and the future of this Kingdom is more important than mine" she smiles but I could see the hint of disappointment in her voice and eyes.
"How dare you commoner, uses his Highness's first name" Lord Haruka exclaims in a scolding manner which Chloe seemed unfazed by.
"It's fine, she has my approval" I cut in as he looks at me on disbelief.
Short time skip
We wave our goodbyes and head away from the garden into the main palace.
"Your Highness i believe that interacting with a female commoner isn't very proper of you" Lord Haruka states as I sigh
He was somewhat right, I've never interacted with a commoner in the form of close friends or more... no what am I thinking? We're probably friends?
"Lord Haruka, she isn't the type of woman who will take advantage of my status" I defend
"I've heard the same quote from you Highness Zen some time ago" he mumbles
"Even if I were to give her power, she would think I buying her like an emerald in the market" I smirk
It's true Chloe would never ask for power, her will and strength alone can get her somewhere and I know one day she will became a great asset to Clarines.
"But Your Highness- " he says before I bluntly cut him off
"You may leave Lord Haruka" I finally passively retaliate.
"As you say" he bowes and leaves, closing the door behind him.
He seriously can't mind his business, I wonder how his wife even copes with him. I sigh and go back to filling the paperwork on my desk.
