Obnoxious

I HATE it when men say that they have to deal with just as much sexual harassment as women do.

Like I, a teenage girl, have probably been sexually harassed more in just a year (maybe even a month) of my life than most men ever experience in their entire lives.

A recent survey actually showed that 1 out of every 6 women in the US have been victims of attempted or successful rape.

Only 1 in 33 men have been victims of attempted or successful rape.

Not that that's not bad either, but it is infuriating when people are so insensitive.

That study very clearly proves the men who say men are harassed just as much as women wrong.

Most men have no problem stopping at a gas station at night, or even during the day, to fill up the gas tank of their vehicle.

Whereas I am terrified of being out in public even in a store with higher security.

Why?

Because there are bad people. People who see you as nothing more than an object.

And I've encountered those bad people, as have my mom, sister, and friends.

Will the average man be afraid to be alone at a park or the movies? Probably not. Easy to see why. But most women will have their guards up the entire time they're in public.

So I'm kinda pissed at a certain person who said that women only use those statistics for attention and pity. Those are the same people who say feminism is stupid. When, in its essence, it is literally just equivalent rights for men and women.

Seriously, what makes a man so much more deserving of all of these different rights rather than women?

Because they have more testosterone?

Sexism is so idiotic.

Sorry, I just needed a good rant :)
