With these words two souls were binded together for their whole lives or maybe not.All the people started congratulating each other. If you are thinking that they are congratulating each other for the nikkah then you are wrong. Because the matter is something else.
The bride was made to sit on the sofa on the small stage. Her whole figure was claded in red. She always thought about this day but never knew that she would be the least happy on this day. The groom came inside the room and sat beside his bride or so the others thought. None of them spoke anything. They didn't knew what to say. Both were blackmailed by their parents for this marriage or this contract marriage.
"Ismail" A loud scream was heard from the entrance of the room. Everyone turned in the direction of the voice and there stood Abraham Hussain with his wife, daughter, son and daughter-in-law.
"What is all this? How could you do this with my daughter? You got your son married again when he already has a wife. How could you do this?" Abraham Hussain was red with anger with the injustice done to his daughter and on the other side the new bride and his family were feeling shocked, angry and most of all betrayed.
"Ismail what is this man saying? Is that true? Is your son already married?" Sikander asked trying to keep his anger in control.
"Listen both of you. I will explain everything. Just first calm down and sit." Ismail tried to pacify them.
"You are telling us to calm down when the matter is of our daughters life." Abraham said in rage.
"See Abraham this marriage is just a contract marriage of six months between Noor and Arham. Both of their grandfathers have written it in their will that all the property will be given to us only if they both get married. And they can't divorce before six months. So after six months this marriage will be over. It is just on paper and nothing else." Ismail tried to coo him slowly. He didn't seem much convinced.
"But you should have made things clear to both of our families beforehand. This behaviour is unacceptable. I love my daughter the most. And I can't see her in pain. Whatever the reason be." Sikander made his point clear.
Abraham looked at Aaliya's face which has lost its light. He went near her and put a hand on her head and asked, "What do you want to do now beta(child)?" Abraham asked her in a soft tone.
"Mujhe aap pe pura bharosa hai ki aap kabhi bhi mere liye kuch galat nahi chahenge. Jo aap chahe wo kare." Though she was tensed and afraid to lose her love of two years she said this.
(I believe you that you would never want anything wrong for me. Do whatever you want.)Abraham was proud of his daughter.
"Hum chahte hai ki Aaliya ki rukhsati bhi aaj hi ho. Uski padhai puri ho chuki hai aur mujhe lagta hai wo ab is shaadi ko nibhane ke liye taiyaar hai." Aaliya's face lit up hearing his father's words.
(I want that Aaliya's rukhsati also happens today. Her studies have been finished and I think she is ready for this marriage.)" Sure sure. Aaliya is the real daughter-in-law of our house. Believe me...." Ismail's words were cut short by another one.
"Dad. You promised me th...." Arham was speaking today for the first time after all this chaos but his father was not ready to listen.
