Season 2 Backstory: After arriving in Dallas, Texas in 1962, a year before the end of the world, she was taken in by the owner of the clothing boutique on the same road of the alley she landed in. If she worked for them, they'll provide her a place to stay until her family gets her. They enrolled her in the nearby school. Two weeks into her being in Dallas, while she was working, a boy her age came into the store. His name was Robert Langston. He was the son of a family friend of the woman she's staying with. Robert recognizes her as the new girl and Mei recognizes him as the star of the school's football team. Two months after Mei's arrival, she became a cheerleader and Robert asks her out after weeks of flirting with each other. They became the best couple in the school. Six months into their relationship, Robert was diagnosed with cancer, and eight months into their relationship, Robert died. Mei was heartbroken and stayed quiet for months. She quit the cheerleading team and became even more studious than before. A day after Five got to Dallas, Mei was working. She saw Five through the window. She ran outside and called out for him
