Passed out, you lay on the floor of your garage. Your head aching and eyes shut. Faintly, you hear voices...
The boys are crouched over your body.
"God Alex, why'd you have to tell her we're ghosts," Reggie said. "You totally freaked her out!"
"Well what was I supposed to say?!" Alex said. "It's the truth," he mumbled to himself.
"I don't know," Luke said. "But I just really hope we didn't hurt her head." He brought his face closer to yours, his worried eyes widening.
Reggie squinted at you, "Is it just me or does this chick look kinda familiar?"
Alex shrugged.
Luke shook his head slowly. "Nah dude. I don't think so...I would remember a face like hers." Unknowingly, he slowly leaned in to get a closer look at your features. There's something so magnetic about her, he thought to himself.
"Aww you think she's cute!" Alex said, smirking at Luke.
"Luke has a crush! Luke has a crush!" Reggie teased, him and Alex playfully nudging each other.
Luke suddenly realized how close his face was to yours at this point. Flustered, he sat straight up. "Guys shut up!" he whined, a little embarrassed because he secretly knew they might be right. "You're gonna wake her-"
Your eyes snapped open. You gasped as you realized three boys you've never seen before were leaning over you, staring.
WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?!
You sat straight up and scrambled backwards, getting back on your feet. Without taking your eyes off of them, you leaned down to feel around for your guitar. You picked it up, again holding it up again like a defense weapon.
"Get away from me!!!" you yelled at them, trying to seem tough although you were terrified.
The three of them all put their hands up, slowly stepping backwards to give you more space.
"Whoa whoa whoa, chill out" Reggie said. "We're not trying to hurt you!"
"And please put that guitar down," Luke suggested. "That's a really sweet six-string, it would kill me if you damaged it."
Reggie chuckled a little. "Well it couldn't really kill you... You know, because we're dead?"
Luke gave him a dirty look. Immediately, Reggie stopped laughing and forced a straight face.
"I also don't think you could hurt us if you tried," Alex said. He kicked his leg out towards the piano. His foot passed right through it, like magic.
None of this made any sense, but the brown-haired boy was right. You really didn't want to hurt your guitar. You lowered it down, staring at your cherry red Les Paul. It was your dream guitar and your most prized possession. Your mom gave it to you for your 16th birthday – the last gift she would ever give you...
