Romance Assemble

Chapter 13

This chapter is set the night before the premiere of the new Marvel movie.

Tom Holland, Emily, Caitlyn, Sebastian and a few other actors from Marvel are at Robert's house for dinner. 

Emily, Tom Holland, Sebastian and Caitlyn all flew to Los Angeles together two days ago because they were here for the premiere of their new movie. 

Emily's POV

We soon arrived at Robert's house for dinner since he invited Tom and I as Tom was close with Robert. 

Robert opened his front door and gave us both a hug and walked us to his dining room. I held Tom's hand as we walked through Robert's house. 

As we arrived in the dining room, I saw that Robert's wife, Mark Ruffalo and his wife, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie and Jeremy Renner were already there. I smiled at everyone and then looked back at Robert.

"Who else are we waiting for? I know that Caitlyn and Sebastian are coming for dinner since Caitlyn just texted me a few minutes ago to say that they were on their way here." I asked Robert with a smile on my face. 

Robert smiled back at me, "Great, I can't wait to see the two of them again! We are still waiting on Scarlett, Chris Hemsworth and his wife and.." he trailed off at the end of his sentence. 

I noticed that he didn't finish his sentence. 

"And, who else?" I asked him and waited for him to answer, 

"Well, I invited Tom Hiddleston as well because I'm close with him. Do you think Caitlyn and Tom would be happy to see each other?" he questioned as I shrugged my shoulders, not knowing how they were going to act around each other when they see each other later on.

We then sat down to wait for the meals that Robert was preparing for us and waited for Caitlyn, Sebastian, Scarlett, Chris Hemsworth and his wife and Tom Hiddleston to arrive at Robert's house. Everyone was in their own conversations as Tom and I spoke to Robert.

Thank you so much for inviting us." I said to Robert as he went to sit down at the head of the table.

"Me too!" Tom piped up from beside me. 

"No problem at all. How are you kids doing anyway?" Robert asked the two of us. 

I then showed him my engagement ring on my finger to see the excitement spread to his face. 

"NO WAY!!" Robert shouted out, which had gotten attention from the other people sitting at the table.

We decided to wait to tell Robert in person because it felt more personal like this. 

"Congratulations!" Robert added on. 

"Thank you very much." Tom said as he kissed my cheek. 

"I'm very excited to marry this beautiful woman." Tom said, as I smiled and kissed him again. 

"When is it?" Robert asked us. 

"July 4th" we both said in unison.

"So...in 6 months? I can't wait to see you two get married!" Robert replied. 

"Actually, I need to ask you something." Tom began and looked over to Robert. 

"You're not going to ask me to marry you, are you?" Robert joked and we laughed at this.

"Will you be my best man?" Tom asked Robert. 

Robert began to tear up as he got up from his seat and walked over to Tom and then hugged him tightly.
