Rantaro could hear a buzzing sound, the type of sound you got when everything is quiet. But it wasn't, he heard machines beeping and soft footsteps followed by whispered conversations. His mind was awake but for some reason his eyes betrayed him and wouldn't open. Never the less he was fully aware of his surroundings. He was in the hospital, there were a few things that gave it away. First of all the 'bed' he laid on, he could feel the metal bars separated by worn out foam under him. The smell was something he was used to. Cheap cleaning supplies with cheap cardboard and plastic. It's something that would stick with him for the rest of his life. While lost in his thoughts he asked why he was there. As he focused, his memories flowed back to him, the day with Kaito, the cafe, the fainting and the painful truth that his love was unrequited. He opened his eyes finally, he laid there, he had an IV drip in his right arm, he couldn't tell what was in the pump, some combination of numbers and letters he couldn't be bothered to decipher. But he could see the date, it read that it was the 4th of September... WAIT WHAT? Him and kaito met up on the 25 August. Was he really out for 10 days? He raised himself on his arms until he was sitting, his muscles sure felt like 10 days had passed. He blinked around, uncomfortably rolling his joints. He almost dazed off before a small petite blonde nurse entered, she did his obs before running out, something about the head nurse or whatever. He was barely present, thoughts and pain were keeping company in his mind. It was until he heard a small cough that bought him back. He looked up to see a nurse standing with a clip board right next to his bed. She had chopping dark magenta hair that went to her waist, in line with her rather short skirt. Rantaro wondered for a millisecond if that was normal before being interrupted by a small ah-hem, once again.

"C-can you hear me? S-sir?" Her voice practically squeaked out. He looked up at her, why was his bed so low? He blinked, finally awakening properly.

"Y-yeah I can, sorry." He replied with an embarrassed blush.

"N-no, no no no! I'm sorry, I'm the one who messed up, I'm really really sorry!" She exclaimed, walking back, tightening up and bowing profusely. Her clipboard covering the lower half of her face.

"Ah..." Rantaro stumbled with his words, what just happened? "No, I- you did nothing wrong!" He tried to calm her down.

"I-I didn't?" She replied

"No, you did nothing wrong." He smiled

"Oh my! Sorry for overreacting! Please if I did do something wrong tell me! You will wouldn't you?" She asked. Rantaro almost said to stop saying sorry but reckon that would've started a big loop of sorry.

"I will."

To Be Continued...

===A/N===
Ok. F*ck. A lot of notes for this one because omg I'm ecstatic. First of, the day after posting the last chapter I got to 2nd on Amamota and 8th on KaitoMamota but now I'm 5th 💖 Plus I reached 100 views and 25 votes. Y'all too kind.🥺

Secondly, the next chapter will be released Wednesday!!! I'm just kinda outta focus and I want to get to a big climax soon.

I'll probably do roughly 30 chapters plus some holiday chapters. Each '10' being a section, thing...

Also, Rantaro. I head cannon one of his parents being in the medical field. Since he is canonically rich. So that's why hospitals are kinda normalised to him. The idea was originally from my friend but it makes sense to me.
