As rain heavily fell from the sky you and Ellie trekked through the city. You could tell the tall brunette was clearly shaken by the events that had just taken place.

Her hands shook vigorously and the once vibrant green in her eyes was washed away by a now dull grey. She was covered in Nora's blood, from head to toe.

"Ellie?" you softly call, scanning the tall females side profile. She stays quiet, eyes still fixated on the street she walks on as the call of her name falls silent upon her ears.

"Ellie." you try again, but she doesn't budge. A frown forms upon your lips and you fall back slightly, watching as she continues to walk with no sign of emotion.

"El." You whisper as you take her hand and tug her to a stop.

"We have to keep going, y/n. The sun will set soon and it'll get darker than it already is."

Shaking your head you move to stand in front of her, placing your hands on her upper arms as you scan her beautiful features. You slowly shake your head and reach a hand up to her face, softly brushing the back of your palm against the smeared blood along her pale cheek.

"We can always stakeout somewhere else for the night. We should take a break. You're clearly shaken up about what just happened, you need to rest Ellie, you need to think things over. Don't lose yourself in your thoughts."

Brushing your thumb along her jawline and cheekbone, you give her a soft smile.

"C'mon, there's a building I think you'll like...Guessing by the pin on your backpack."

Reaching out for her hand you gently clasp it in yours and tug her in the direction of your destination.

"Trust me Ellie, you'll feel better by the end of the night."

Ellie stays quiet and allows you to tug her through the cities streets, the smallest of smiles tugging on her lips as she takes in the feeling of your hand clasped in hers.

"Okay, close your eyes."

Ellie gives you a questionable glance "What?" you question, a pout forming of your lips "I'm not gonna close my eyes y/n. You probably took me here to kill me."

You gasp and cross your arms over your chest "I'd do no such thing! Come on, I've known you for like....a day! If I haven't killed you yet I'm not gonna kill you now."

Ellie quirks a brow and continues to stare down at you blankly. You sigh and shake your head "Fine, fine. C'mon."

Tugging her towards the shelter before you, you let her look around.

"Y/n we really should just go to the theatre."

You nod and walk up to the buildings double doors.

"We will." you admit, opening the door and holding it open for Ellie "But I wanna show you this first. Plus I have some things here aaaand I think it'll help you relax."
