Their Secret Love

~Chapter 1~

        They couldn't be allowed to fight. He had to think of a way to stop it. Without thinking, he picked up his jacket and left his best friend's house.

           I arrived at home to be questioned by my uncles. "Dwayne, why are you home so early?" Uncle Jake asked. "Agnus was there" was all I said as I walked up to my room.

             I live my uncles, Jake and Martin Barker. I'm almost 17, and I've lived with them for 6 years almost 7. My parents died in a house fire saving me when I was 10. My best friends are Faith and Beryl Shaw. Their brother, Agnus Shaw, hates me. He always tries to pick fights with me, though it doesnt stop the feelings that I desperatly push down everytime I see him.They've known about my sexuality since I was 13, they figured out who I liked but we never talked about it.

            "Hey Dway Dway, Agnus is having a bonfire tonight. So, what do ya say 'bout a movie night slumber party?" Faith asked me, they know I don't like to be near fires since the house fire I was in. I nod my head and Beryl squealed. "I will call Cynthia and Connor!" Cynthia and Conner are my other friends, though Connor is more of an closer friend than Cynthia. Everyone knows Cynthia has a crush on me, everytime she throws herself at me I reject her, but she just does'nt seem to know how to take a hint.

         We got everything ready as we waited for the others. We were in the kitchen when the doorbell rung. Agnus answered the door as his friends Zach, Gerald, Gerald's girlfriend Britney, and Archie.He holds it open since they were carring drinks.Cynthia and Connor came walking in right after after. "Sup guys" Faith said as they walked in. "Lets head up shall we?" I asked and Cynthia giggled.

         Beryl and Faith shared a knowing look as they started to head up to their room, us following behind. I sit as far away from Cynthia as I could. I don't understand why she likes me, I don't have looks nor a good personality."Excuse me, I'm going to use the restroom."

         I excuse myself as I went to the restroom. As I made my way back to Faith and Beryl's room, I ran into Agnus "What are you doing?" I rolled my eyes and walked pass him. "Hey, I'm talking to you" he said as he grabbed my arm. "None of your business" I spat trying to pull my arm away. He held my arm tighter and pushed me against the wall. "I'm not going to ask again Dwaynie" he said quietly yet harsh. "Movie night with Faith and Beryl, now Leave. Me. Alone." I said pushing him off me.

         "Would you stop being such a brat and talk to me? After all you are my sisters' best friend." I looked at him and sighed. "What do you want Agnus? All you do is call me names and start fights, and now, your wanting to talk?" He looked at me and frowned.

          "Why don't you join us for the bonfires? Every time I have one and your around, my sisters have a movie night.""I'm afraid of fire since the house fire my parents died in" I mumbles quietly but he heard. Taken back, Agnus lets go of me and takes a step back. "I didn't know you were in it" he said quietly. "My parents got me out in time but they didn't make it" I said, tears filling up my eyes. I didn't realize a tear fell 'til he wiped the tear away. He jumps away while I wipe the tears with my sleeve, as we hear foot steps approaching. "Hey Dway-bare, what's taken so long?" Cynthia asked. I rolled my eyes as I say "It's nothin' and don't call me that." Cynthia rolls her eyes "I don't get it, I throw myself at you and every time you reject me. You hate it when I don't call you Dwayne. What did I do wrong?" I sighed. 

            Faith, Beryl, and Connor stood behind Cynthia when Faith said "that's the thing, he doesn't like you because you throw yourself at him. You never stopped to think he doesn't like you like that, and take in the consideration that he isn't into you?" Cynthia starts crying running out. "Damn dude, if we didn't know any better we'd think you two broke up" Conner said as we all started laughing.

          "Uhh...what the hell was that about?" We all turned and look at Agnus. Beryle spoke "Cynthia was crushing on Dwayne here, but Faith here, told her off." Agnus looked at Faith then at me "Are you two together?" Faith and I start bust up laughing. "Bloody hell, No" we said at the same time. "Faith is lesbian and as for Dwayne, that's for no one else to know" Connor said, Agnus nodded then walks away.
