Reader POV
I finished my shift and went home, I lived alone but my best friend and crush would come over often including my other best friend that my crush probably likes. Their names are Akane and Nekomaru. They probably like each other so me liking Akane isn't good for me, I mean liking anyone is bad for me since I'm just and ugly human being. Once I'm home I open the door to see Akane eating food in the kitchen, I gave her a key knowing she would want to come over while I'm not home. "Hey Owari-Chan!" I greet as I close the door and take off my shoes.
"Hi (L/N)-Chan!" Akane responds as she stopped eating.
"So what's up?" I ask sitting on the couch with her next to me.
"Nothing much I just finished training with Nidai-kun!" Akane answers.
"Was it fun?" I ask smiling.
"Yeah no duh!" Akane exclaims, 'good she's having fun,' I think to myself.
"That's good," I respond as I stand up, "want anything to eat? I can make something," I ask.
"Of course! Your food is so great!" Akane exclaims which makes me smile, 'at least she likes my food' I thought to myself.
"Ok what do you want?" I ask smiling.
"Anything is fine," Akane answers as she continues to watch TV. I make Akane some food and give it to her with a fake smile.
"I'm going to my room call me if you need me," I say as I walk up to my room closing and locking the door then I lean against the door sighing as my smile disappears. Standing up I walk over to the drawer and grab the knife using it to cut my wrists. Once I'm done I quickly clean up and walk out to Akane who fell asleep. I pick Akane up and put her in my bed and go to sleep on the couch.
Time skip
I wake up as Akane is getting ready to eat already changed and I sighed, 'another day at school...' I think to myself as I go to my room to change into my outfit and went downstairs, "ready to go?" I ask which a fake smile.
"Yeah!" Akane answers as we walk to school she goes ahead of me because I know Sonia and Hiyoko are waiting for me at the doors. I was right Hiyoko and Sonia where waiting for so I walked up to them and they started bullying me and abusing me mentally and physically. I sighed and waited for them to start since I can't do anything. Once they stopped throwing insults and punches I started walking back to class very fatigued since I now have more bruises.
"(L-L/N)-Chan! Y-you need t-to be nursed!" Mikan exclaims as she grabs me and brings me to the nurses office. Once she finished nursing me we went to class, Mikan agreed not to tell anyone so I was good with that. I walked in class and said, "sorry I fell down the stairs so Mikan nursed me."
"It's fine, take a seat," the teacher says as I sit in my seat at the corner of the class I felt like crying but I stopped myself before I could as I lay down my head on my desk and started zoning out while looking at Akane.
Time skip
After school Akane comes up to me and exclaims, "(L/N)-San! Wanna come to this party with us?"
"Huh what party?" I ask as I turn to face her and Nekomaru.
"Just this super cool party at Nevermind-Chan's place!" Nekomaru exclaims to which I flinch at the name, it's Sonis's party...
"Oh yeah I'll come it seems fun," I lie if I don't go it'll raise suspicion that I'm not ok.
"Yeah!" Akane exclaims visibly happy that I'm coming to which I fake a smile.
"Are we going to my house again?" I ask already knowing the answer.
"Hell yeah we are!" Akane answers excited as we walk to my house.
Once we get there I plop on the couch and turn on their favorite show as Akane plops down next to be and Nekomaru sits next to Akane. We watch TV until it's a little before the party, "we have to go get ready for the party now bye (L/N)-San!" Akane exclaims as they walk out the door and closes it. I sigh and go upstairs to get ready, I put a clean version of my normal outfit and walk out to go to the party I was a little late since I had to lay down before I came since I was fatigued from not eating but I sucked it up. I get there and go to Akane and Nekomaru who are in the corner of the party.
"Owari-Chan! Niadi-Kun!" I exclaim walking up to them and Akane runs to me.
"(L/N)-San! Why did you ta-," Akane starts but cuts herself when she hugs me which made me gasp, "(L/N)-San..." Akane mumbles as I hug back but she backed away as I started feeling dizzy. "Why can I feel your ribs..?" Akane asks.
"H-Huh..?" I ask back I was to dizzy to respond correctly and I collapsed.
"(Y/N)!?" Akane exclaims, she didn't use my last name which surprised me while I fell into unconsciousness.
When I woke up Akane was sitting there and Nekomaru was talking to Mikan, "why would she do that!?" Nekomaru exclaims.
"S-she has d-depression!" Mikan exclaims.
"Why... Didn't she tell us..?" Akane asks under her breath, "what happened when she walked in with you covered in bandages? Did she really fall down the stairs?" Akane asks in a serious tone.
"N-no she told me not t-to tell y-you but N-nevermind-Chan and S-Saionji-Chan bullied h-her," Mikan explains while stuttering.
"That explains why she flinched when we told her it was Nevermind-Chan's party..." Akane mumbles and Mikan just nods.
"A-Akane..." I mumble making Akane quickly turn her head towards me and looks at me.
"Y-yes!?" Akane exclaims holding my hand.
"I-I'm sorry..." I respond tiredly.
"It's ok, I promise. I won't let anyone hurt you again..." Akane says in a comforting tone. I hold her hand and falls asleep.
When I wake up I'm in Akane's room and Akane is cuddling me so I turn around and nuzzle into her chest. "(Y/N)..?" She asks then gets flustered seeing me nuzzling her chest. Akane then kissed me on the forehead which made me blush a lot and backed away looking at Akane with a shocked look.
"Why did you..?" I ask trailing off.
"Because I love you," Akane answers bringing me in to cuddle.
"I-I thought you liked Niadi-Kun..." I respond.
"No, I like you," Akane states kissing me and I kissed back, "I take that as you like me back," Akane says with a smile.
"Yeah," I say nuzzling her again.
