Kya was on the market getting hers and her girlfriends usual groceries when she heard a smashing window and some people running away from a shop. She was heading to the store to see what was happening still with her basket full of stuff in her arm. She saw three weird looking people, one with a knife made of fire in his hand and two standing right behind him. She put down her basket and searched for some water she could bend.
"Let my children go they have nothing to do with it" begged an old men kneeing on the floor in front of two little kids. "No I can't just let them go if they're going to run this shop in a time they have to know how things work." Said the man with swords. He gave his partner a look and he knew exactly what to do. Kya couldn't even blink and half of the shop was destroyed by the earth-bender. She was heading to the shop to stop them from doing something even worse and as if she would've sensed it she was right on time to safe the kneeing man's life as the fire-bender was about to kill him. She had no water so she could just push him away. The kids screamed and cryed they looked to the counter for help but the fire-bender was faster. He smashed the counter in two pieces getting a woman on her ponytail out of the shop. As he passed the earth-bender he winked at Kya still standing in front of the man. She finally saw a little water fountain and bended the earth-bender just in an ice Block and turned to the man.
"Are you okay? Let's get the kids out of he-" something hit her on her head from her back and she passed out instantly.
She woke up in handcuffs next to the woman they pulled out of the Shop.
"You should have stayed away" the woman said. "What? I just wanted to help you!" Kya said confused and angry at the same time. " Where are we actually?" She looked around but she couldn't see anything but walls not even a window or a door. Just walls out of stone. "It doesn't matter. We won't get out of here anyways." The woman sad with a tear running down her chin. "Who are those people? And what do they want from you?" "Why would you care? Why would you run to a place everyone is running away from? You are stupid, old water lady." The woman almost shouting the last words. Kya thought about that and she clearly had no answer but she was sure that this can't be the end. She didn't lose her hope yet.
Almost two days passed and no one came checking on them, nothing happened, they didn't even talk they just sat their in silence. According to that she was almost happy as she saw the earth-bender from the shop bending a hole in the silent room. The fire-bender came in with a smile. "You look like shit" he said to the woman "I hope you are not to upset for letting you in here for the last days, I simply forgot you." The woman didn't even look at him her face was full of hate and Kya could tell if she would have had a chance she would be jumping on his throat, tangling him till he finally stopped grinning. "The kids are fine. I wish I could say that about the man you call your husband." The woman looked up "what did you do?" "I killed him"
She started crying and first whispering "no you wouldn't go so far" and then screaming it at him. The man swiped his chin since she spit on him. He grabbed her and the earth-bender opened the handcuffs. "Take her" the fire-bender said winking at Kya. They went through a hall and upstairs ended up in a room full of people. The fire-bender, went straight to the front of the room and everyone went quite. "Listen everybody, I have an announcement to make. Your queen is back." He said while he threw the woman on the floor and the whole group started cheering and applauded in a very happy way. What is going on? Kya asked herself. She stood together with the earth-bender at the end of the room and didn't know what to do or to expect.
The fire-bender went back to Kya again and whispering something in the earth-benders ear. The earth-bender grabbed her and pulled her out of the room. And brought her to some other stairs. He opened her handcuffs and pushed her to the stairs. She glanced at him and startet going up the stairs after a couple of steps she noticed that he wasn't coming with her. She looked around and asked "am I free now?" He laughed a little "just keep going and you'll find out" she did as she was told. At the end of the stairs was a door, a door out of stone and she could already hear screaming and loud noises behind it. She opened the door and got pulled out right away. The door closed behind her with no handle on it. She couldn't see very well through the flashing light and since she could just hear many people screaming she could also not find out anything with that. As soon as her eyes got used to the lights she saw a rock flying right towards her. She ducked under it and heard some disappointed screams from the cloud. She looked around and it almost looked like.. but that couldn't be... That shit doesn't exist in republic city, right?... The very muscled half naked man threw another rock at her and she jumped out of the way. Water, I have to find some water. She thought. "Ladies and gents this is the moment you waited for," came a loud voice through the speekers "this is the last fight for today and i am pretty sure that the one and only master of stone in the right will end this one as quick as possible, am I right?" The cloud started to cheer. And as soon as Kya could see everything she got passed out by a rock again. She laid there with her eyes open and heard the cheering people in the back. The voice screaming something through the speakers and she was willing to get up but was just to week after days without food or water.

She heard the ground cheering as the muscled man tok a big and heavy rock ready to throw at Kya.
She couldn't move. A young girl, in the same age as her niece jumped out of the crowd in front of Kya end broke the flying rock in half. Kya couldn't belief her eyes. The girl kicked up the dust by air bending and Kya felt someone picking her up and running away with her. She couldn't see anything because of all the dust and her breathing got hard. The woman heard a noise and felt the hard ground under her again. She heard someone fighting and saw some air loops through the dust. The girl who jumped in the cage to help kya got some really bad hits in her stomach. With the last energy Kya had left in her she managed to get up again to help the girl. She grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her up again. "Let's get out of here" she said. " Hold on tight" the girl said wrapping her arm around kyas waist. She jumped very high out of a hole in the ceiling. As soon as she hit the floor, the girl fel on her knees holding one hand to her stomach. Kya heard screams out of the hole, she knew they weren't safe yet. "Come on get up now. We need to get out of here, we need to find water" she said with a week voice.
"You!" Said the girl, finding her way back up. "What?" Kya looked around only paying half the attention to the girl. "You need to get some water. I only need me, myself and I!" Kya started going as she heard them scream even louder. The dust must be gone by now. "You are injured, I need water to heel you so come on now. I owe you that." The girl has heard them screaming as well and followed Kya 6ft behind her.

I know this chapter is just about Kya and not about lin at all. :/ I'm sorry. I'm trying to build up a story here and I'm really not good at it.
