I waited a bit to get out of bed this morning.  I'd have three days until I could stay with Suji at her school's dorms.  For now, I'd have to go to a school for kid's who haven't been to UA.  Just, regular kids with quirks.  Nothing too big.

"What am I thinking!?  This is going to be a disaster!  I'm gonna be beat up because I'm vulnerable-"  I said, pacing in my room.

Until, my pause.

I learned martial arts at school!

I

I ran into my box of extra stuff and found my green belt from karate.  I got pretty high, but nowhere near brown belt OR black belt.

"I'll just kick 'em where the sun don't shine if they try to get physical."

I got dressed, and went downstairs.  We bought the uniforms a few days ago.  Gross.

"Morning, Mrs. Ishizaki,"  I said, grabbing a sweet roll off of the counter.

"You ready for school, kid?"  Mr. Ishizaki asked me.

I nodded.

He smiled.  "I'm off for work!"  He walked to Mrs. Ishizaki and kissed her cheek.

Mr. Ishizaki left, and his wife got ready to take me to school.

We drove off and pulled up to the building soon enough.

Mrs. Ishizaki and I got out of the car and walked into the office.  She talked to the principal and got me signed up and registered.

"Ms. Kai?"  The principal said to me.

"Yes?"  I asked.

"Here's your class, PE locker, and everything you need!  Have a good day."  She handed me a paper with all the info, and Mrs. Ishizaki left.

I walked down a long hall, up some stairs, and down another hall.

I looked at the paper, and found my class.

"I guess I'm here."  I mumbled.

I opened the door, and stepped in.

A bunch of kids stared at me.  Kids had horns, wings, and red skin and stuff.  Weird.  It felt like a fairytale.

"H-hi.."  I said.

The teacher stopped writing on the chalkboard, and looked at me.  He smiled.

"Welcome!  You must be Kai, yes?"  He said.

I nodded a bit.

He walked over to me, and bowed.  I bowed back, because why not.

"You're the one from America?"  He asked.

"Yeah."  I responded.

The whole class looked at each other and whispered.

"Well, quirkless kids and all are accepted here," he started, " right class?"  He looked over to two kids at the back.  They looked angry or something.  I'm guessing they bullied quirkless kids.

The class nodded and said other forms of yes and of course.

Not showing any emotions or smiles.  At.  All.
