"I regret this." I groaned as I fixed the strap of my dress. Dixie tugged on the bottom and looked up at the mirror we both checked me out.

"Jeez, just stop thinking about it." Taylor laughed as she shook her head while flipping a magazine. I rolled my eyes at her comfortable figure on my bathroom counter.

Taylor was right. But how could I not worry I mean not only am I going to my mother's house but I'm taking two guys that I don't feel like spending an evening talking to.

"I'll get it," Taylor said as she hopped off the counter and went out of the room. Dixie chose a necklace and held it up for me to see.

"What do you think?" She asked me. I thought it was a bit much but before I could tell her that she interrupts.

"Nevermind, I don't care. You're wearing it anyway." She told me as she wrapped the necklace around my neck and clipped it in the back.

Dixie declared that I was perfect and sent us downstairs.

"Who is it?" Dixie called out to Taylor as we walked down the stairs. Taylor didn't respond but instead continued to talk to the person in the front.

"Meh, I guess that'll have to do." I hear Taylor say. I went around the corner and walked to the front door. I stared at the two of them at the doorway.

"Oh wow." It was Josh.

"You look..." And Jaden.

The lucky winners of tonight. I ignored their shocked faces as shoved my keys into Josh's chest.

"Shut up, here you drive," I told him as I squeezed passed their shoulders and stormed outside.

I got into my car and waited for them as I rested my head on the seat. The doors opened and they got in. Josh starts the car.

"Want to tell us where we're going?" Josh asked as he rested his hand on my thigh.

"My mom's place," I said coldly as I picked his hand up with two fingers and put them back on his lap.

"Already meeting the parents." He smirked as he pulled out of the driveway. I sighed before explaining.

"My mom requested that I bring a man to dinner so here I am," I told the two of them. I pulled down the top mirror and used it to apply my lip gloss.

"Then why did you need both of us." Jaden finally said. I twisted the lid of the lip gloss closed and wiped off the excess gloss.

"Whoever she likes best will have to pretend to be my boyfriend while the other will just be a friend," I explained to them. Jaden opened his mouth again but I cut him off.

"If she likes both of you then we'll have to pretend to be in a poly relationship," I added on. Jaden and Josh glared at each other through the rearview mirror.

"This is crazy." Josh scoffed.

"Just remember that we only agreed to this because you said you'd talk to us when we're done," Jaden said as sat closer to the front seats.

Oh right, the stupid agreement. I rolled my eyes at Jaden's statement.

"May the best man win," I mumbled to myself as I stared out onto the highway.

I gave Josh the directions but other than that the car ride was tense and awkward. I felt my phone vibrate before picking it up to check what going on. It was a message from Dixie.

Dixie🍆🌊: I already know you're being a bitch to them so stop.

Dixie🍆🌊: if not for them then for me, I could feel your attitude from here.

Me: I don't know what you're talking about...
