Peter's pov
"Hey Dad...kinda can't talk right now" I say into the phone looking at my boyfriend.
"Well Rodgers wants to talk to him" Dad says I huff.
"Not a go-James! I swear get away from that ledge!" I growl when James leans over the edge.
"Might have to start code Black- James Buckingham Barnes! If you don't get over here" I growl but he let's himself fall.
"Shit!" I say as I run over, hanging up, and shot webs at James effectively catching him.
"Just let me go!" James whimpers causing my heart to shatter.
"No! I love you to much to do that James" I cried and I feel him relax as I pull him up.
"Please just let me go" he cries softly.
"No...we're going back inside together!" I say pulling him over the ledge.
"Why?" He whines I pull him over to me and away from the ledge.
"Because I love you and I'm not letting you go willingly" I say hugging him. He hugs back and buries his face into my hair. I guide him into the elevator and ask to be taken to the common room. After a few moments we make it to the common room.
"Bucky?!" A male voice says causing James to try to run but I grab his wrist.
"Food first then we can head to bed" I say causing him to nod slowly before looking me in the eyes.
"Can you activate me then? Just to show off a little bit? And cause I don't wanna answer questions" he asks I smile and nod.
"Nine" I start causing his breathing to speed up.
"Benign" I say he stares at me for a few moments.
"Daybreak" I continue as the Avengers step back, minus dad as he trusted me.
"One" I say hearing his heartrate rise.
"Seventeen" I huff as he flinches.
"Rusted" I say he looks down at the ground.
"Longing" I say and he clenches his fists.
"Furnace" I say as he lets out a low growl.
"Freight car" I add and he looks back up at me and I can see the deep brown slowly melt into steel blue.
"Homecoming" I finish as his deep brown eyes were just replaced with steel blue.
"Ready to comply" he responds his eyes landing on Steve.
"Target spotted permission to engage?" Winter asks. Natasha steps in front of Steve.
"Permission denied. Terminate mission" I comman.
"Of course sir" he says nodding his head.
"Follow soldier" I demand walking towards the kitchen with him following quietly.
"Just stand at the door and you're eating tonight" I say as I finish cooking. He stands at the door blocking it from everyone.
*10 minutes later*
"Is he allowed in?" Winter asked I glance and see Dad and Steve.
"Brown hair is but not the blonde" I say he nods and lets Dad in.
"Dinner going to be done soon?" He asked.
"Yeah I'll deactivate after he eats so I know a hundred percent that he does" I say and he nods.
"The ex-Avengers are asking questions" Dad adds.
"I'll answer them tomorrow" I respond and he nods and leaves.
*20 minutes later*
I picked up the pot since everyone had plates....well everyone I care about.
"Follow" I order he nods and I carry the pot towards the living room.
"Dad! Food is done!" I shout when I don't see him.
"Step away from my handler!" Winter snarls. I turn and see Winter pushing Natasha away from us. I put some spaghetti on the three plates, one for me, Dad, and Winter/James.
"Soldier eat" I order
*after the three of them eat*
The three of us had finished eating when I looked over at Winter who looks up at me.
"You can now deactivate" I demand I watch as Winter's steel blue eyes turn into James' deep brown ones. He plops onto the couch and I walk over only to be pulled down onto the the couch with him.
"James?" I asked as I relaxed and cuddled into his chest.
"Yeah Doll?" He asked I could hear some gasps.
"You still need to talk to me about what happened" I say as I feel his metal arm lay against my back.
"I figured as much" he sighs as I close my eyes and fall asleep.
Tony's pov
"Tony!" Steve snapped when Peter fell asleep and James closed his eyes.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Who is the kid who thinks he's more important then us?" Natasha asks pointing to Peter while James peeked one of his eyes open.
"Peter is my son and to me and James he is more important" I say.
"And his relationship to Bucky?" Steve asked I look over at James who was now glaring at Steve.
"Ask James" I say knowing that 'Bucky' brings up bad memories for James.
"Buck!" Steve yelps when he turns around. James flinches but he keeps his metal arm around Peter.
"One call me James, two what, and three stop yelling" James says grabbing the blanket on the back of the couch and put it over the both of them.
"What's the kid to you?" Steve asked.
"My boyfriend and handler...and he isn't a kid he's nineteen" James huffs closing his eyes again.
"Well-" Steve starts.
"KAREN activate code after dark" James cuts him off.
"Of course sir" KAREN says as I leave I see the lights turn off forcing the Avengers to leave.
"Talk later" James hums.
*In the morning*
Peter's pov
I woke up and the first thing I smelled was gunpowder and vanilla which means James...ah right I fell asleep with him on the couch.
"James" I groan knowing he wasn't asleep.
"Hmm?" He hums.
"Time to get up...I know you aren't asleep...you're usually awake before me" I mumble sitting up sitting on the small part of the couch next to him.
"No~" he whines pulling me back down with him I huff.
"Yes~" I teased him he sighs as we sit up.
"Fine Doll you win let's get up" he says we get off the couch and due to how cold it was recently a huge chill ran down my spine making my violently shudder.
"You good Doll?" He asked I nod hugging myself.
"Yeah just spider things" I whisper he smirks and stops turning his body towards me. I smirk knowing what he was hinting at so I pulled him down to my level and kissed him softly he melts into the kiss and I push him against the wall. Then someone clears their throat so me and James pulls apart and look at them. I tug on James HYDRA jacket, he took all HYDRA reminisce off the jacket but it was extremely warm so he kept it...and it was his way of saying fuck you HYDRA, he smiled and gave it to me. I put it on and snuggled into it.
