She

"Shirley Winston! She! Come down, faster! Leon is here! My God, girl!" I heard Agatha shouted distinctively from downstairs. I laughed quietly in my bedroom. Agatha Mawhinney, can't you be even more obvious?  "Coming!" I replied while the smile still plastering on my face.

Leon Charlton. The one and only son of our employers. My mother worked as Helen's chaperone when she was young. Helen is Leon's mother, the wife of Howard Charlton.

Mr and Mrs Charlton are the well-known entrepreneurs in our town. Their mansion alone is a big one estate in which is not only tripled our house in my hometown but more than quadruple. They have a lot of things in the mansion. There are not a thing they do not have. Their wealth are immeasurable.

Okay, back to Leon. Why Agatha was so excited calling out to me just now during Leon's arrival was... isn't it obvious? He is my childhood crush. Even up till now, to this very day, I still love him.

I walked quickly down the stairs as I saw all the maids have already positioned in lines to welcome Leon. Leon is coming! And this time he is going to stay for real! He will no longer have to continue his studies. And I will have a chance to see him every day! Oh shut it! That obnoxious mouth of yours, She!

I smiled excitedly as I was reminded that I would have more chances to meet him. It was thirteen years already since the last time we met. I was ten and he was fourteen that time. He must have looked a lot more gorgeous now.

Whenever he sent his pictures from the abroad to his mother, Helen would let us all see the pictures. She was so happy and proud of him.

Agatha would bump her elbow with mine every after we looked at the pictures. Ashley, Ashley Walsh, which is also our friend would smile along with Agatha. Ashley has now become a complete different lady in regards to her appearance but never her energetic personality. When she was young, she would play along with Agatha in the garden while me, the most demure one amongst us three, would do my embroidery at the backdoor of the kitchen as I watched them playing in the garden.

Leon would accompany me as we talk about million of things. Sometimes we talked about political issues, economy, entertainment industries and sports but most of the time, Leon would ask something brilliant and just wanted to listen to my answers as we discussed the matters in a rather deeper meaning.  We talked about the wonders of world and life. That's my favourite part of our conversation.

My intuition told me that this would definitely change. Even when I hoped it's still the same but I could not deny the fact that it could change somehow because the probability he has changed was right there considering that we have been far apart from each other for almost fourteen years already.

Just like our appearance. Agatha became a lovely girl now. Ashley no longer has her golden hair. Her hair changed to the darker colors and getting a lot more curls than me while now mine changed from the frizzy hair to a much manageable big wavy hair. My dark brown hair has changed to a light brown one.

Agatha did explain to us all on why our hair would change and the only thing that I remembered was about melanin, pheomelanin and eumelanin.

You see, we were not much knowledgeable in any way here. Education is golden but not necessary to have as for all the women. Agatha came from a higher class than my family so she has quite a lot more knowledge in regards to the education things than me and Ashley. And because of that, she always taught us of something that she newly learned. More importantly, it's cost nothing not even a single penny.

I would remember some of them but Agatha told us that, if it's too hard to memorize, we could just forget about it. And that's hilarious. But that's so Agatha. I love her for the understanding and the amount of love she has for us. She would not belittle us even though we be pretty much lacking a lot than her.
