Chapter 4

I walk outside into the cold, crisp air. I recognise footsteps when the grass begins to crunch behind me. I turn to see Cedric, knuckles bleeding face bruised. He just stands there looking at me with regret but the hint of anger still hung in his gaze.
“Y/N im sorry, I was just angry, I never though that he would say anything about your parents”
“I know” I say simply.
“I didn’t mean to hurt him, I just wanted him to see that what he did was wrong,” He pleads.
I close my eyes for a few seconds and when I open them back up, a tear drips onto my cheek.
“Cedric, this hasn’t been working for a while” I say, half sobbing.
“If this so about what happened to Draco, I-“ he stammers.
“Cedric, I love you, I love you so much, but this, this is forced” I weep. I step towards him and take his hand.
“Please don’t hate me” I plead.
“I don’t hate you, I can’t hate you” he says. Cedric pauses.
“Just don’t talk to me, don’t talk to me ever again” he says on the verge of tears.
Cedric steps back and shrugs away my hand.
“Cedric please, don’t” I start.
“You did this, this was your decision” he shouts, his booming voice rings in the air.
He turns around and walked away. I stand there cold and alone
